Why Did ‘Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Have No Wedding Vows?
Sister Wives star Christine Brown will have her wedding air on television in a spinoff special. One thing that fans won’t see, though, is wedding vows. It turns out that Christine and David chose not to have vows at their wedding. The couple talked about this choice in a recent interview.
Here is why Christine Brown chose not to have wedding vows in her ceremony with David Woolley.
Christine Brown on why she didn’t have wedding vows
Christine Brown and David Woolley got married and they made the interesting decision not to say wedding vows at the ceremony. Sister Wives fans can watch the big event on TV on Sister Wives: Christine and David’s Wedding on TLC. However, the reason for no vows is that she made the decision to make things easier at the wedding.
In an interview, Christine said that they wanted to keep the wedding short and intimate. When asked, she said, “We wanted it small. We wanted it short. We wanted it as intimate as possible. We just wanted that. So there weren’t any vows or anything like that.” They also said that it wasn’t the only reason that they chose to skip saying their vows.
Christine said that Corbin was talking to them about the wedding and then asked about the vows. He mentioned things like “The till death us part and sickness and in health.” They said that was already a given and there is no reason to re-say all that. “That doesn’t make any sense to me. So I mean, we’re already completely committed to each other.”

That wasn’t the only change that Christine Brown and David Wooley made to their wedding. Something else that will be missing from the wedding on Sister Wives: Christine and David’s Wedding will be bridesmaids and groomsmen. The couple said they didn’t need friends to be there when there was a much better choice in front of them.
Christine said in the interview that they wanted all their grandkids there. They also had their daughters there and Christine had her son walk her down the aisle. “We didn’t have anyone up there with us though,” she said.
The wedding comes after Christine and David had a sweet romance after she finally left Kody Brown, one of three of the Sister Wives to end the polygynous marriage. Sister Wives: Christine and David’s Wedding airs on TLC on Sunday, January 7, 1t 10/9c. There is also a part 2 that will air on Sunday, January 14, at the same time.
