Maggie Sajak Replacing Vanna White On ‘Wheel Of Fortune’?
Wheel of Fortune will go through a major change in 2024 when Pat Sajak retires and leaves the show. After hosting the game show for 43 years, the 77-year-old host will step down and Ryan Seacrest will replace him. To keep part of the history in place, Vanna White agreed to a deal to stay with the show. However, a recent video makes it look like her replacement is coming too.
Here is what happened in the video and what it could mean for Vanna and the future of Wheel of Fortune.
Is Vanna White leaving Wheel of Fortune?
When Pat Sajak announced his retirement from Wheel of Fortune following the current season, all eyes turned to Vanna White. Some fans wanted to see her replace Pat as the host. Others wondered if the show would retain her at all, or if it would clean house and bring in someone new to turn letters for Ryan Seacrest. When Vanna began to speak out about her pay, it brought even more turmoil to the fanbase.
Vanna admitted that she had never received a raise in decades on Wheel of Fortune. While she made a lot of money for her role on the show, she also pointed out that Pat Sajak made a great deal more than her. This is despite the show calling them “co-hosts.” Vanna made it clear she wanted a raise to stay. Eventually, the show agreed and she remains on board with a pay hike.
However, her tenure on the show could be winding down. This all comes thanks to a promo video. There was a scene where Vanna White was walking off the set and passed Maggie Sajak. She looked and waved and said, “Hi Barbie.” Maggie smiled back as she walked onto the set and said “Hi Barbie” in return. It seemed innocent enough, but it could have hidden meaning.
Is Maggie Sajak perfect to replace Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune?
While Vanna White got her pay raise and remains on as the letter-turning host on Wheel of Fortune, her time might be coming to a close. Vanna is 66, and she has admitted to how much strain it is on her body to work on Wheel of Fortune, considering the heels and constant walking on the stage. After 42 years, she might be ready for something new.

That makes Maggie Sajak a great replacement for the show. If this video hints at a passing of the torch, there isn’t a better choice than Pat Sajak’s daughter. First, she brings the same visual appearance of Vanna White to keep things familiar for fans. However, even more important, she brings the Sajak name to keep that legacy intact as Ryan Seacrest begins to bring his brand to the popular game show.
What would you think if Maggie Sajak replaced Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune? Would it be a nice way to keep the legacy of the show intact thanks to her dad? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I don’t think it’s a good idea.
I think a totally new duo should cohost the show. The originals are great but sequels are never as good. I think Maggie Sajak puts on airs that she can be and will be the next letter turner. Arrogant, a fake since the first time I saw her.
I think it would be great if Maggie Sajak and Ryan Seacrest did Wheel of Fortune. Make no mistake – Vanna should be back-payed the same salary that Pat Sajak has made all these years. It’s a crying shame that it was never equal.
