Kathy Swarts Surprises At Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist’s Wedding
The Golden Wedding for Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist came with a surprising twist because Kathy Swarts turned out to be the emcee at the pre-ceremony events. Additionally, only she and Susan Noles, who officiated, were part of the wedding dress fitting. How on earth did that happen? After all, she was painted as the villain of the ABC show. Did she get a bad edit?
Kathy Swarts Was The Last Person Suspected In A Major Role At The Wedding
Golden Bachelor fans couldn’t have been more surprised when the villain of Season 1 suddenly obtained a major role during Gerry and Theresa’s wedding. Remember, she was the one who accused the winner of being “possessive and territorial.” Additionally, she told Jen Woolston’s mom to “zip it,” when she talked about Gerry visiting her in her room. Furthermore, she upset April Kirkwood. As she didn’t stay on the show for very long, fans knew little more about her.
Kathy Swarts did get on with Susan Noles, who Golden Bachelor fans liked. So, she wasn’t 100 percent evil. Perhaps she got a bad edit. Actually, on social media, while a lot of people roasted her, others loved her straight-up honesty and her dry sense of humor. Unfortunately, a lot of people just don’t get dry humor. So, a bunch of viewers of the Golden Wedding were painted seven colors of shock when she was seen being the emcee alongside Charity Lawson.

Theresa Nist & Gerry Turner Agreed On The Emcee With ABC?
Presumably, Theresa Nist discussed things like the people who would officiate and emcee, and attend the dress fitting. After all, ABC execs are known to create a bit of drama, but even they might have hesitated to spring Kathy on Theresa as a surprise. Perhaps fans missed a lot of other interaction between the two women on the show. USA Today noted that many Golden Bachelor fans seemed surprised, and not all of them complained about the emcee.
The outlet cited a few people on X, formerly Twitter, who clearly got to know Kathy Swarts a bit better during the Golden Wedding.
Kathy is the Joan Rivers of the Golden Bachelor.
Bachelor Nation should keep Kathy Swarts around for more events after the Golden Wedding. Her commentary was the best part.
Meanwhile, the writer also mentioned someone on Facebook who said, “Kathy SLAYED!!!! She’s a natural and we want to see MORE of her!”
