Fans Ridicule Tom Sandoval Over His New Lifetime Movie
Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval is catching heat from fans after his decision to star in a Lifetime movie.
Since becoming one of reality TV’s most infamous stars in 2023, Sandoval has been on an extensive image rehabilitation tour. The TV personality shocked fans when his sordid affair with Raquel Leviss became public. Fans flocked to his ex Ariana Madix to show their love and support. On the flip side, Sandoval received a healthy serving of scorn from Vanderpump Rules fans.
In order to counteract the damage he had done to his image, Sandoval elected to go on a media blitz. He first appeared on The Masked Singer in an attempt to show off his singing ability. In September 2023, Sandoval joined Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test where his goal was to pay for his alleged sins. “The whole country is pi**ed at me,” Sandoval revealed in the show. “I had an affair and I want to take a beating.”
And now, Sandoval will be starring in a Lifetime original movie. A move that has left many fans wondering if he’s only trying to copy Madix.
Tom Sandoval Returns For Lifetime Original Movie
In a January 4 press release, Lifetime Movie Network unveiled its upcoming moving schedule through March 2024. Out of the 14 movies that were announced, one film has caught the eye of Vanderpump Rules fans. Slated for a February 8 release, Tall, Dark And Dangerous is described as a thriller that focuses on the modern dating scene. The film stars Jamie Bernadette, Matthew Pohlkamp, Michael Paré, Tracy Nelson, Eric Roberts, and Tom Sandoval.

According to LMN, Tall, Dark And Dangerous follows Alice [Bernadette], a successful real estate attorney, who decides to try out the dating app Be My Valentine. On the app, she finds her seemingly perfect match, Chris [Pohlkam.] But Alice soon realizes that her “Valentine” is an imposter who stole the identity of his former roommate Jason [Tom Sandoval] in order to insert himself into her life. She learns that Chris will stop at nothing to put everything she has worked so hard for in jeopardy.
Fans React To Tom Sandoval’s Latest Career Move
The announcement of Tall, Dark and Dangerous comes just a few months after Madix starred in her own Lifetime movie. Alongside co-stars Meagan Good and Roger Cross, Madix appeared in Buying Back My Daughter. The movie tells the story of a mother who fights back after finding out that her missing teenage daughter is being sex trafficked on an escort website.
Despite the timing, Sandoval has appeared in a Lifetime movie before. In 2021, he appeared in The Wrong Real Estate Agent with Vivica A. Fox and Dorian Gregory. Regardless of his prior experience, fans ridiculed Sandoval for attempting to copy his ex. In an Instagram post from bravobravobravobri, the user noted Sandoval’s desperation. “Looks like he’s following in Ariana’s footsteps,” they wrote.
Another user also connected Sandoval’s move with lagging behind his ex. They were critical of Sandoval’s attempt to remain relevant. “He will always be 100 steps behind Ariana,” they wrote.
A third user slammed LMN for their use of Sandoval. “Very disappointed in @lifetimetv for supporting Tom Sandoval. I thought they believed in supporting women! Shocking,” the user shared.
