American singer and songwriter Michael Bolton took to Instagram yesterday with details of a scary diagnosis that required immediate brain surgery.
The 70-year-old revealed that he had a bit of a terrifying health situation just before the holidays. What happened to him and is he doing better after the surgery? Keep reading for the details.
Michael Bolton’s Scary Diagnosis: Immediate Brain Surgery
Michael Bolton kicked off his post by wishing all of his fans a very happy New Year. Unfortunately, 2024 started up with some pretty big challenges for the singer and songwriter. He explained that just before the holidays he got some concerning news during a doctor’s appointment. His doctors discovered a brain tumor. This tumor required immediate brain surgery.
“Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.”
Michael Bolton added that he would need to spend the next few months focused on his health and recovery. For this reason, he would need to postpone his tour.
“It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon.”
He concluded his post by noting he was so thankful for all the love and support he was receiving from everyone. Furthermore, he promised to offer more updates as soon as he could.
