Love After Lockup Dylan Smith Arrested, Details
Fans first met Dylan Smith on Love After Lockup when he was behind bars, serving time for burglary and possessing ecstasy. His love, who was waiting for him on the outside, was Heather Gillespie. They had been together for quite a while as she awaited his release. Unfortunately, their relationship was a hot mess and eventually, she alleged that Dylan stole from her. She also claimed that he was abusive and the reason that she was living in her car and out of various Airbnbs. Then, Dylan moved on, got engaged, but was arrested all over again. That was in 2021 and it seemed not too much was heard about him until now.
A Reddit thread was started with Dylan’s mugshot in it including all of the details regarding his arrest. He was arrested for domestic battery and bodily harm. It happened on New Year’s Day so that was a way to begin 2024. In his mugshot, Dylan has a smirk on his face while his hair is pulled back but quite disheveled. More so, he appears to have little to no remorse about what he has done.
So, what did fellow Redditors have to say about the Love After Lockup alum getting arrested? Was it expected or did this come completely out of the blue? It seems that they looked at his ex-girlfriend, Heather, and still felt that she beat him by a mile in the crazy department.

Out & In Again
Though Dylan Smith was able to get himself bailed out the next morning, it did not last very long. As Love After Lockup fans noted, he had gone to Marissa’s home afterward. While he was there, he called the police to get his stuff from her home. Apparently, that led to him getting arrested all over again:
- He did then he went to Marissa’s apartment, called the cops to ask to get his stuff out, and then the cops came and arrested him because being at Marissa’s house went against his bond he’s back in jail
So, it seems that this is going to be an up-and-down road for Dylan but hopefully, he gets himself sorted out so he can live a better life.
