Mama June Fans Scared For Her Life, Worried About Relapse
June Shannon, better known as Mama June to fans, has struggled with innumerable hardships in her life. Sadly, she started struggling with addiction as a result.
The reality TV star has done her best to get clean and stay clean for her family members, but fans worry that she’s just one poor decision away from completely relapsing.

Fans worry Mama June is headed down a bad path again
Over the years, June Shannon has struggled with addiction. It’s put quite a strain on her relationships, especially with her daughters. Fans, friends, and family members alike would love for June to stay clean.
However, she’s had her share of hardships over the past year. Now, people are incredibly worried she’s headed for a relapse.
On Reddit, viewers frequently discuss this topic.
“She [does] not look okay,” one Redditor titled their post.
They shared a screenshot of June Shannon looking at the camera off to the side. Her hair is up in a towel and she has a very dazed expression on her face.
“She looks drugged out in this video,” the OP continued. “How sad she has custody of her granddaughter.”
However, not everyone agreed with the OP’s assessment. Mama June’s followers are certainly worried she will relapse. But they didn’t think this screenshot proved anything at all.
In fact, many believed the post was a complete stretch. Comments included:
- “This looks like a screenshot of a video. You can catch anyone looking ‘off’ during a video. But…this is how she always looks it’s probably from squinting her whole life due to eye problems she’s had since she was a young child.”
- “Yes, her eyes have always looked narrow and unfocused because she’s legally blind. There’s plenty to criticize about June without having to stretch.”
- “Like…she’s blinking lol”
- “Snark all you want, she gives more material than there’s time to goof on her. But to go after something she can’t control, that’s just bully behavior.”
The reality star gains emergency custody of her granddaughter
Now that Mama June has custody of her granddaughter, it would be a horrendous time for her to relapse.
After Anna Cardwell’s tragic death, June gained temporary custody of Anna’s oldest daughter, Kaitlyn. If she wants to keep the little girl in her care, she will need to do everything in her power to stay clean.
For the family’s sake, fans sincerely hope she can make good choices and stay on a better path.
