‘Welcome To Plathville’ Moriah Plath’s Ex Marries Best Friend
As most long-time viewers of Welcome To Plathville know, Moriah Plath’s first boyfriend was Max Kallschmidt. But the two went through a dramatic breakup during Season 4 and never fully reconciled. While the split took a toll on both Moriah and Max, he has since made many changes and is now announcing a fresh marriage.
Moriah Plath And Max Kallschmidt
For Welcome To Plathville fans, it was easy to fall in love with Moriah Plath’s ex Max Kallschmidt. While Moriah was breaking out of her restrictive past in the Plath household, she met Max. Unquestionably, he was gentle and reassuring to a fragile girl who was still sorting through the big world. Markedly, they met in 2020 and their relationship unfolded on the show. Seemingly, the show portrays them as two young people who are supportive of one another and face challenges together. Additionally, their story includes a closeness with the Plaths that was missing for some time. While they seemed to help each other through the difficult stages of entering adulthood, they sadly had a messy breakup on the show.
Moriah Plath And Max’s Falling Out
After Max Kallschmidt gave Moriah Plath a promise ring, they arranged to move to Florida with Ethan and Olivia Plath. But when Welcome To Plathville Season 4 returns, Moriah discloses the relationship is over. Although neither initially gives much detail about the incident, the show pulls in more as the season goes on. Then, Max posts his side of the story online. Although he later removes the post, it causes damage that Moriah has a difficult time recovering from. While the details are muddled, Max admits to kissing another woman. Then later, more information comes out saying he went further with the cheating than he initially confessed. In the end, they both were heartbroken and had many individual issues to work through on their own.
Max Kallschmidt Marries Best Friend
While Moriah Plath has still struggled to regain her confidence through Welcome To Plathville Season 5, Max Kallschmidt has moved on. In a post on Instagram, Max announced a new chapter in his life. Furthermore, he adds a carousel of photos of the special occasion and captions: “I married my best friend ๐ฅฐ๐ค and made another best friend along the way ๐Iโm amazed that God brought us togetherโฆ after going on 9 years of friendship, after both going our separate ways and living our own lives, God somehow brought us together and made the most beautiful piece of my life ๐.”

Max Kallschmidt Finds Forgiveness And Mercy
During Welcome To Plathville, Moriah Plath struggles to move past the feeling of betrayal from Max’s cheating. And although they both have faith rooted in forgiveness, it was seemingly too much for the couple to overcome. But Max has a newfound peace. He continues in his wedding post, “Yin and Yang, It feels like we fit like a puzzle. McKayle, you and your mama have taught me what real forgiveness and mercy are. God has touched my heart and saved my soul without a doubt through your loving nature & you in fact have been my safe place throughout the past year.”
Moriah Plath’s Ex Grows As A Father
Even though he lost Moriah Plath, it made room for him to grow. And Max says on Instagram he didn’t just gain a wife, he also is learning to be a father to his new wife’s daughter. Max expresses, “Esther Kate, I may have fallen more in love with being part of your life than anything this world has ever brought me ๐๐ our sweet bond brings joy to my heart every single day that I get to experience you living ‘My peace is grand, my love and faith is grander.'” Then he adds, “Nobody else Iโd rather be welded to ๐ I thank God for you McKayle and Esther Kate every day ๐ซถ The most pure joy has come from a Godly relationship and evolving into a father ๐ Shoutout @katiebertagnolli AGAIN with an phenomenal unique touch to capture our most precious memories โค๏ธ.”
