Why Isn’t Sofia Vergara On ‘America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League’?

Sofia Vergara is missing from America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League. Instead, Mel B has returned and taken her place. This alongside judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandell. So why is Sofia Vergara missing?

What Is Different About This Show?

This new series seems to be doing things a lot like The Voice. Instead of just being judges, they are all mentors. They each get acts on their team and are able to help them. The judges want to do whatever they can to make sure their acts win in the end. They can even use the golden buzzer to steal an act from another judge. Mel B did this last night to Simon Cowell on the premiere.

They have brought back the best of the best acts for this new competition series. It is going to be a hard one to win, so fans can’t wait to see how it turns out in the end.

Where Is Sofia Vergara?

For one, it was the perfect time for Mel B to return to the show. Here is what she revealed:

“I did seven years and then in 2019, I came back to the U.K. because Spice Girls was going on tour, and I never went back. I set up home here with my kids and put them in school in my hometown, Leeds. So when I got asked to be back, it just so happened I had a break in my crazy, hectic schedule. I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is perfect timing.”

That isn’t the only reason, though. Sofia Vergara is working on her new Netflix show Griselda. Of course, she loves acting and that is a priority for her. It is hard to do two shows at once and she probably just couldn’t fit it all in her schedule. It worked out perfect since Mel B was ready for her return. Simon even teased Mel B that he missed her a bit.

This new limited series will be on Netflix starting on January 25, 2024. Sofia Vergara is a lead character and you do not want to miss this show. It is going to be a hit for sure.
