The award-winning comedy-mystery series Only Murders In The Building is soon going to have its broadcast television premiere. This series that stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short is going to be part of the ABC Midseason schedule. This is to fill in its broadcast schedule while they wait for regular series like The Good Doctor, Will Trent, and The Rookie to film new episodes post-SAG-AFTRA strike.

When Does Only Murders In The Building Season 1 Premiere On ABC?

ABC is bringing the hit comedy series Only Murders In The Building Season 1 to broadcast television for the first time. The series about three unlikely sleuths who start a true crime podcast is premiering on Tuesday, January 2. According to Deadline, Season 1 will air on Tuesday nights, right after Celebrity Jeopardy. Originally on Hulu, ABC is taking the same route as CBS did with Yellowstone. ABC is bringing the top Hulu series to network television.

However, they will air all 10 episodes on four consecutive Tuesday nights. Here is the schedule:

  • Tuesday, January 2: Episodes 1-3  9 p.m. Eastern.
  • Tuesday, January 9: Episodes 4-6, 9 p.m. Eastern.
  • Tuesday, January 16: Episodes 7-9, 9 p.m., Eastern.
  • Tuesday, January 23: Episode 10, 9 p.m., Eastern.

What Is OMITB About?

What is Only Murders In The Building about? This story takes place in New York City. Three strangers who live in the same Upper West Side apartment building called The Arconia. What they all have in common is the love of true crime podcasts. The one they listen to religiously is All Is Not Ok In Oklahoma, hosted by Cinda Canning (Tina Fey).

Soon Mabel Mora (Gomez), Charles-Haden Savage (Martin), and Oliver Putnam (Short) start to investigate a grizzly murder that happens at The Arconia. With each episode, viewers learn more about the personal lives of each of these sleuths. Moreover, there are some shocking revelations about the victim and other events that happened years before this murder. What is not revealed is as important as what is uncovered.

There are as many laughs as there are twists and turns. Also, there are many surprise guest stars and cameos.

Steve Martin and John Hoffman created this hit series.

How Can You Watch Only Murders In The Building Seasons 2 And 3?

All three seasons of Only Murders In The Building are available to stream on Hulu. In addition, the hit series has been greenlit for Season 4. This will likely start filming soon, with a premiere later in 2024.
