Yellowstone Is Coming Back To CBS In January
Yellowstone is returning to CBS in early 2024. According to The Futon Critic, Season 3 will be airing for the first time in January. This will become a New Year binge fest.
The three-hour premiere is on Sunday, January 14. The remaining seven episodes will air in three days, January 21, January 28, and January 29.
While these are new episodes for CBS fans, these are not the final series episodes for those fans who watch on Paramount. When will Yellowstone Season 5 B premiere on Paramount?
When Will Yellowstone Season 5B Return?
One year ago, Yellowstone Season 5A ended, with the promise that 5B would return on Paramount during the summer. However, summer came and went, and there were no new episodes.
Firstly, Paramount has not yet filmed these episodes. There was a cornucopia of reasons why there was a big delay. One of the biggest reasons is that showrunner and co-creator Taylor Sheridan had not yet written the scripts.
Next, there was chaos on the set. That was because Kevin Costner’s availability was limited. Accusations were thrown at the Field Of Dreams star that he was only available for one week.
Next, there was the WGA strike, and then the SAG-AFRTRA strike. Both of these strikes delayed any writing or production of the top series on cable television.
During this period, Paramount announced that these remaining episodes would be the end of the OG series. But, there are several Dutton Family spinoffs including 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. Also, 1883 starring Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.
Finally, before the actor’s strike was resolved, Paramount announced that Yellowstone Season 5B would premiere in November 2024. However, there are still a lot of questions.
The first question is whether or not Kevin Costner will be returning. There has not been a firm answer on this important detail. Next, the amount of episodes that they will film is still up in the air. Taylor Sheridan has said that he didn’t know how many there were, but he wanted to tell his story. It seems that he has Carte Blanche on how many episodes he will make to finish this series.
Also, Paramount has not yet announced when they will start filming the remaining episodes. The belief is that it will be in the early spring. That has not been confirmed yet.
Therefore, fans have to wait until November 2024 for the conclusion of the series.
