Is A Three-Way ‘NCIS’ Crossover Possible?
Could there be an NCIS three-way crossover again? Just about a year ago, fans of the military procedural drama loved it when the agents from the OG, Los Angeles, and Hawaii all ventured into each other’s series This was the first time that the network tried including all their current NCIS series.
However, things are different now. Although Los Angeles ended with Season 13, there is a new series in the universe. It is NCIS: Sydney. This is the first international spinoff of the hit CBS series. Could the network decide to make another three three-way crossover in this unique universe? Or, even make it a spectacular four-way, as NCIS: Los Angeles alum LL Cool J is reprising his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna on Hawaii this season.
One showrunner believes it is possible.
Could There Be A Three-Way NCIS Crossover With OG And Hawaii?
Now that NCIS: Sydney is a hit, could there be a crossover with the original series, as well as the Hawaii spinoff? TV Line recently spoke to the Sydney showrunner Morgan O’Neil. The publication asked whether a member of the Sydney crew could end up in Honolulu or Baltimore for a crossover. His response was positive. “Look–never say never.” O’Neil added, “You can make a fair bit of magic in TV these days.
Firstly, he described the core belief that “the thrill of a franchise like this is that it’s a universe that’s stitched together by a common DNA.”
Next, O’Neil pointed out that the distance between Sydney and Hawaii would make the most sense. That is often the stopover point for those who go Down Under. “We’d love to crossover with those guys, and there would be some pretty exciting ways that you could crossover–with Hawaii in particular, given it is relatively close.”
Lastly, the showrunner made it clear that the idea of another NCIS crossover is something currently discussed. “The audiences should feel like those crossover episodes, which are such fan favorites, are definitely top of our mind.”

Has NCIS: Sydney Been Renewed For Season 2?
One of the biggest hurdles to making a three-way crossover has to do with the status of NCIS: Sydney. Has it been renewed for Season 2? Although this series has been the number one series on broadcast TV this fall, there have not been any announcements on the future of this spinoff.
Although all eight episodes are now on Paramount+, the final three episodes will premiere in January. Paramount may make an announcement early in 2024 on the future of this hit spinoff.
