Fans of Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond were horrified when they went looking for fresh videos to watch featuring her on YouTube recently.
Turns out, that “Ree Drummond Dead” has been trending on the platform for the past two weeks. Likewise, it populates as a frequently searched term when visitors of YouTube search her name. Making things even more concerning, the website is flooded with videos claiming the TV personality was confirmed dead at the age of 54.

Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Dead Trends On YouTube
Two weeks ago, a few different YouTube channels published a video claiming that Ree Drummond was pronounced dead after being placed on life support at the hospital. These videos featured thumbnails that had a photo of Ree on display at what appeared to be a funeral service for the TV personality.
Oddly enough, the content of the four-minute video does not match the title at all. The video doesn’t discuss the TV personality going to the hospital or passing away. Instead, the video talks about Ree Drummond’s struggles with her health. The video also discusses how supportive her husband has been as she deals with various health issues. At the end, the video even encourages viewers to subscribe for more updates on how her health journey is going.
Sadly, this means that the trend was just clickbait. The uploader of this video crafted a title that would draw people in. It, however, had nothing to do with the content of the video.
Some Mourned Her Anyway
This, however, didn’t stop some people from just seeing the thumbnail and title of the video. Several poured into the comments of this video and similar videos to mourn the passing of this TV personality.

Actually watching the video or perhaps fact-checking the claim, one individual exclaimed Ree was not dead. Furthermore, they questioned why anyone would make such a horrible claim. This individual, however, was alone in realizing the truth. Most were successfully tricked by the title and the thumbnail attached to the video.
