Hallmark Hosting Book Club Featuring Jane Austen Loveuary Titles

In February, Hallmark’s Loveuary programming is honoring Jane Austen throughout the month. The network is leaning into costume romances featuring works of, or inspired by,  the beloved Regency author. For many viewers, this is their first foray into the world of Jane Austen.

As part of the Loveuary programming, the network is hosting a book club. The first two books will be Jane Austen novels. Here are all the details.

Hallmark Channel Launching Virtual Book Club

Now that Hallmark has announced its Loveuary programming that honors the work of Jane Austen, they have something fun for viewers. According to TV Insider, the network is launching a new virtual Book Club. This will led by Jenny Forwark, Hallmark Channel’s Chief Fan Officer. “Here, fans will be able to discuss the Loveuary premieres, Jane Austen’s legacy, and the importance of female-focused storytelling.”

The network is already signing up fans for the first two dates. On January 25, they will discuss Pride & Prejudice. Next, on February 15, the discussion will be on Sense And Sensibility. Fans can now RSVP with this link. After you sign up, you can start reading.

What Are The Jane Austen-Themed Loveuary Movies?

Hallmark’s February programming is aptly called Loveuary. This round will be honoring Jane Austen, with Austen-themed movies all month long. This promises a lot of romance, Mr. Darcy-like leading men, and some witty dialogue. Here are the movies that romance movie fans will get to watch.

Kicking off Loveuary is Paging Mr. Darcy. This premieres on Saturday, February 3, at 8 p.m., Eastern. Paging Mr. Darcy stars Mallory Jansen and Will Kemp. “A love of Jane Austen’s stories helps two people to overcome their pride and to admit to their belief in love.”

Next, is a Chronicles Mystery reunion called Love & Jane. This premieres on Saturday, February 10, at 8 p.m., Eastern. Love & Jane stars Alison Sweeney and Benjamin Ayres. “A woman finds guidance from Jane Austen, quite literally.”

Thirdly is An American In Austen. This Jane Austen-themed movie premieres on Saturday, February 17, at 8 p.m., Eastern. An American In Austen stars Eliza Bennett, Nicholas Bishop, and Nell Barlow. In this movie, there is “a librarian who thinks that no man can live up to Mr. Darcy and gets an unexpected chance to find out if that’s true.”

Lastly, Hallmark Mahogany presents a “sumptuously beautiful adaptation” of Sense & Sensibility. This adaptation will premiere on Saturday, February 24, at 8 p.m., Eastern. This stars Deborah Ayorinde, Bethany Antonia, Dan Jeannotte, and Akil Largie.

Don’t Miss Hallmark’s February Costume Mystery Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder At The Breakers

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is premiering its first costume mystery, Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder At The Breakers on Friday, February 2, at 9 p.m., Eastern. Based on the Alyssa Maxwell book series, this takes place in 1895, during the Gilded Age. This stars Ali Skovbye, Danny Griffin, and Nathan Witte.
