Nick Carter’s Sister Bobbie Jean Dies One Year After Aaron
Just over one year after losing his brother Aaron Carter to an accidental drowning, Nick Carter’s sister Bobbie Jean has also died. This is three siblings that Nick has lost in the last 11 years, all dying much too soon.

Nick Carter’s sister Bobbie Jean dead at 41
Bobbie Jean, the sister of Nick Carter, has reportedly died at 41 just two days before Christmas. Mother Jane Carter reported the news to TMZ. Jane said she was “in shock” to learn the news of her daughter’s passing and the “terrible reality of this happening for the third time.” Bobbie Jean is the third child that Jane has lost over the last decade.
According to TMZ, Bobbie Jean passed away on Saturday morning. Even more tragic is that she has an eight-year-old daughter named Bella. The worst part of this is that Bella’s father also died, so she lost both of her parents at a very young age. The cause of death remains unknown for Bobbie Jean, also known as BJ. Bobbie Jean was arrested earlier this year for shoplifting and also had fentanyl on her person when arrested. She had threatened to “kill myself” when the police arrested her (via TMZ).
Bobbie Jean is Nick Carter’s third sibling to die
Sadly for Nick Carter and his mother Jane, Bobbie Jean is the third sibling to die young. Aaron Carter died last year after drowning at his home. They had another sister named Leslie who died in 2012.
While Bobbi Jean’s cause of death remains unknown at this time, both Aaron and Leslie died because of drugs. Aaron drowned in his home and his body was found in a bathtub by a housekeeper. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner revealed his death was accidental drowning after inhaling compressed air and taking Xanax (via People).
“My heart has been broken today,” Nick Carter wrote at the time. “I have always held onto the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.”
Aaron was the second sibling who died. Sister Leslie died in 2012 at the age of 25. Leslie died when she fell in the shower and didn’t wake up. A follow-up on her death reported that she had overdosed on Zyprexa, a muscle relaxant, and Xanax. She had a 10-month-old daughter when she died. Nick Carter did not attend his sister’s funeral and said his family blamed him for her death (via Today).
