Katie Maloney is getting real about her Vanderpump Rules co-star, Tom Sandoval, and the alleged change that he has made. What exactly has he done and how does Maloney feel about this? Read on for more details on the whole situation.
Katie Maloney Gets Real About Tom Sandoval & Alleged Change
The truth is Katie Maloney and Tom Sandoval never really got along. They struggled and it only got worse when her now ex-husband, Tom Schwartz went into business with Sandoval. The two Toms partnered with Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd on TomTom which took Schwartz away from Katie. Then, they decided to open their own restaurant lounge. However, Schwartz could never be assertive and always bowed down to Sandoval, leaving Katie to do his dirty work. In the end, his priorities were always skewed, and finally, Katie filed for divorce from Tom Schwartz. He then covered up Sandoval’s affair with Rachel Leviss which made him look even worse to their friends and co-stars.
Now, Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules is premiering at the end of January 2024. There is promotion everywhere and Sandoval’s ex, Ariana Madix has found immense success. She has also credited Katie with being the most loyal friend during all of this. Since filming, Sandoval has tried to repent for being unfaithful to Madix by going on Special Forces and starting his own podcast. Yet, is he a changed man? According to Reality Tea, Katie does not think so. She shared her feelings on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast.
To Katie Maloney, she thinks Tom Sandoval is more upset that he got caught being bad rather than for his actions. She further added: “I think apologies are words. I think when someone is really sorry, you see that they are sorry. You see it with behavior modification. You see them changing, like, how they operate. And it’s one thing to say you’re sorry. It’s one thing to prove that you’re sorry.” Finally, she does not feel everyone will be on Sandoval’s side when the show returns.

It is very hard right now because some of the cast is leaving toward Tom Sandoval. Scheana Shay was spotted in his suite at BravoCon. She even is seen reaching out to him after his friend passed away in the new season trailer. Then, she discovers she has been blocked as has her daughter on social media. As for Lala Kent, she defended Sandoval at BravoCon 2023 for at least showing up and continuing to go on. In the trailer, LVP is shown explaining all that Sandoval has lost since his affair. Now, it is up to the fans to decide if Katie Maloney is right or if they sympathize with Sandoval.
