‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Amy Slaton Reveals She’s Exhausted & Done
An exclusive clip for next week’s episode of TLC’s 1000-Lb. Sisters just dropped. The clip featured Amy Slaton sitting down with her sisters Tammy and Amanda.
Amanda Halterman explains how she’s making an effort to bring a smile to her sister’s face. She, however, is trying to do it carefully so she doesn’t invalidate her feelings. Amanda also tells Amy that her sisters are ready to support whatever decision she decides to make.
As she struggles to fight back tears, Amy Slaton tells her sisters that she’s exhausted. And, she’s done. She wants a divorce.

In an exclusive clip for next week’s episode, Amanda Halterman sits down with Amy and Tammy Slaton. Amanda explains that she brought over some face masks to enjoy a mini spa session with her sisters. Speaking directly to the camera, Amanda Halterman said Amy was walking around with a puffy face because of all the crying. So, she was hoping to make her feel a little better.
All three of the TLC sisters, however, admitted the texture of the face masks was a little off-putting.
Amanda Halterman did make it a point to clarify she wasn’t telling Amy Slaton to turn off her feelings. She had a right to feel whatever she was feeling. She, however, wanted to make sure she didn’t dwell on being sad for too long.

Toward the end of their conversation, Amanda Halterman tells her sister Amy they will always support her. She just needs to tell them what is next. So, what does she want to do now?
Fighting back tears, Amy Slaton explains that she has repeatedly told Michael Halterman she would leave him. Leave him if he did not change and get his act together. Unfortunately, Amy no longer felt like the glue holding her family together. Instead, Michael left her feeling like a used piece of gum on the bottom of his shoe.
Sadly, Amy Slaton tells her sisters that she’s exhausted. She’s done trying. She’s done fighting and begging. Amy Slaton is ready to divorce her husband.
Did Having Children End This Marriage?
Early on in the TLC series, 1000-Lb. Sisters adored Michael Halterman. He seemed to be so involved in their first child. Likewise, he was always so helpful with Tammy. Sadly, however, something changed when Amy had a second child. Michael stopped being so helpful. Suddenly, Amy Slaton felt all alone. Finally, she reached a point where she was done. Done feeling single and married at the same time.
