Val Chermkovskiy & Jenna Johnson Share Son’s First Christmas
One Dancing With The Stars couple is absolutely having the best year of their lives! After winning the Mirrorball Trophy a few weeks ago, Val Chmerkovskiy is preparing to settle down for the holidays with his family. And of course, adorable family photos followed.
Val and his wife, fellow pro dancer Jenna Johnson, welcomed their first child in January. Now, they’re preparing for their very first Christmas as a family of three.
Without a doubt, it’s going to be a very memorable season for the little family!

For many years, Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy said they would love to have a family together. Their wish came true on January 10, 2023, when their son Rome was born. Over the past year, fans have adored watching the three go on outings together.
After Val won the Season 32 Mirrorball Trophy, the couple even joked they were giving it to Rome as a present.
But now, the couple is settling in and posing for holiday photos as a family of three.
Right now, the professional photos are available through PEOPLE. The publication teased a glimpse of their photoshoot on X, formally known as Twitter.
The family color-coordinated with Val and Rome in olive green sweaters and Jenna in a cream-colored dress with a matching sweater. They look perfectly posed in front of their Christmas tree, which also largely features cream-colored ornaments.

The Chmerkovskiys live in Los Angeles, but will reportedly travel to Utah for holiday festivities. Jenna Johnson comes from a large LDS family, most of whom still live in Utah.
Val’s older brother Maks Chmerkovskiy and his family also live in Los Angeles, so it seems likely that they will split their time between Utah and LA. Fans can’t wait to see more photos of the family enjoying the holiday season together.
The family will keep dancing into the new year too
A few weeks before the DWTS Season 32 finale, many fans thought Val Chmerkovskiy was planning to retire when the season ended. Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Val wants to come back for Dancing With The Stars Season 33 if the executive team wants him back.
“I would [return next season]. Listen, if they had me back, I’d love to be back. It’s going to be a tough season to follow,” the 37-year-old shared with Us Weekly.
It seems highly likely that Jenna Johnson will return to the show as well. But as for baby Rome, Jenna doesn’t want to put any pressure on him to be a great dancer too. However, DWTS fans wouldn’t mind seeing another Chmerkovskiy join the ballroom in the future.
