Fans Rip Jim Bob Duggar’s Supreme Court Attempt As ‘Shameful’

Counting On: Josh Duggar’s Past Appeal
Josh’s first appeal for a new trial in October 2022 was rejected. The Counting On alum is currently serving a 12.5-year prison sentence due to CSAM. Instead of overturning the verdict, Josh ended up receiving an additional two months in prison after he was allegedly found with a contraband phone. But it seems he’s determined to clear his name and insist that he’s innocent, despite all the evidence against him.
Jim Bob Called Out For Latest Supreme Court Attempt
Some Reddit users shared their thoughts on Jim Bob Duggar’s recent attempt at the Supreme Court. The poster shared a screenshot of the document and it states that the Counting On alum is requesting a review. However, not everyone is happy about it.
The deadline for Pest to file his petition was December 27. But Gelfand complained that he was too busy with other cases, so the Court allowed an extension until February 25, 2024. So Pest has until then to file his petition.
Some think it wasn’t a wise idea by Jim Bob, and he’s just wasting a lot of money. Others also added that there’s a high chance the Supreme Court will not review the case.

Counting On: Fans Think Jim Bob Duggar Was Just Trying To Save Their Image
Some Redditors from the same thread also think that Jim Bob has a different reason as to why he’s been trying to defend his son. According to some, the Counting On alum knows what his son did, but he’s trying to save their image, especially his reputation in the IBLP.
- “He doesn’t expect his son to become a better person at all, that’s the thing. He just wants the stain of it all to be gone from his family’s name bc that’s what he’s always cared about the most,” one person said.
- “Jim Bob wants people in the c*lt to believe Josh is innocent, that’s what he’s saying to everybody, he will try every possible avenue to try to show that, even though he knows Josh is guilty,” another person added.
Some suggested that the public conception of Jim Bob Duggar would’ve been better if he admitted his son’s sins and told him to take responsibility as well as ask for forgiveness.
