Nick Viall Roasted For Vile Comment About Gerry Turner’s Wife
Nick Viall appeared in The Bachelor after twice failing to find love in The Bachelorette. So, the Bachelor Nation star seems qualified to comment on shows like Gerry Turner’s Golden Bachelor. Sometimes, his comments rub other cast members the wrong way. However, he just put off a lot of fans after he made a vile comment about Gerry’s late wife.
Nick Viall Speaks About Other ABC Cast Members
The model and podcaster also talked about other trending reality TV characters, like Mauricio Umanksy when he was on Dancing With the Stars. However, he most often dishes negative criticism to people from Bachelor Nation. Perhaps it’s because he knows what goes on behind the scenes that he considers himself an authority. But, some people don’t like seeing him on The Viall Files because he also seems to consider himself superior to everyone else.
Nick Viall went particularly hard on Zach Shallcross in his season of The Bachelor. When it comes to The Golden Bachelor, there’s a lot of scandal after an anonymous ex claimed a lot of nasty things about Gerry Turner. However, that’s not unusual, and it’s not likely to impact on another season of the show. But, what he recently said about Gerry’s late wife, might impact Nick’s popularity.
Bachelor Nation Star Says Vile Thing About Gerry Turner’s Wife
Golden Bachelor fans know that Gerry retired fairly young, and his wife passed away after a lifetime of love between them. Naturally, when she passed away from a bacterial infection in 2017, he felt devastated. During the Golden Bachelor show, there were sad tales about loss, and the podcaster acknowledged that it was not unusual. However, he also said that the show’s not deep and they keep the character lines simple.
It came when Nick Viall spoke with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. Having spoken about keeping things simple, the former Bachelor slammed Gerry Turner for keeping his past simple, with things like, “cry, play pickleball and occasionally this weird one-on-one moment with some hand lotion.” However, worse was to come and Dave Neal from Bachelor Nation News on YouTube expressed his shock at what came next. As Dave Neal pointed out, Viall knew what was going on. It is those simple character storylines that ABC likes to present.

- No one else should dictate how another moves through grief and processes that. Thanks for pointing out once again, you are an a–hole, Nick. I don’t understand his need to tear down other leads as he does – like Katie Thurston. They all went through the same experience, know how the process works, and how difficult it is to come out on the other side and face this kind of backlash/press. Yet, he just leans into it, makes that disgusting and despicable comment about Gerry’s ex-wife, and acts as if he is superior. Gross.
- Nick is threatened by sincerity because it confuses him. The fact someone can exist with no ulterior motive is something he’ll never understand because he sells himself to the highest bidder.
- It doesn’t matter how much time passed in between her dying and him dating again. The language Nick used is more disrespectful to HER than it is to Gerry. She’s a deceased woman. Have some respect.
