‘Sister Wives’ How Meri Brown’s ‘Robyn Plan’ Backfired
In the early days of Sister Wives, Meri Brown thought she found a new best friend when Kody married Robyn. But after 18 seasons, it’s clear that didn’t quite go according to plan.
Now more than ever before, Robyn Brown is at odds with the other women. And on top of that, she doesn’t really have Meri in her corner this time.
Ahead of the new episode on Sunday, Sister Wives fans discussed this very idea on Reddit. After years of shallow friendship, it seems clear to everyone now that Meri’s plan to befriend Robyn backfired.
Sister Wives fans accuse Robyn of using Meri Brown
As the Sister Wives Season 18 tell-all continues, viewers can tell that Meri has had enough of Robyn’s shenanigans. She no longer seems interested in maintaining a relationship with her former sister wife.
Over on Reddit, viewers voiced their opinions and highlighted all the incidents when Robyn was a horrible friend to Meri. Over the years, there have been several moments.
“Robyn was the worst thing that happened to Meri,” one Redditor shared. They went on to list several instances where Robyn actively made life worse for Meri. The list boiled down to:
- Meri offering to divorce Kody so he could marry Robyn and adopt her children
- Watching Robyn go on to have two more children with Kody while Meri struggled with infertility
- Robyn’s involvement in the catfish drama
- Meri giving quite a bit of money to Robyn to “subsidize” her lifestyle
- Meri siding with Robyn most of the time led to a huge rift between Meri, Christine, and Janelle
- Robyn discouraging Meri to go back to school
Fans seemed to agree with the OP’s points overall.
“Yeah…Meri picked the wrong horse that’s for sure. Robyn isn’t a friend to anyone…she is truly an unsafe person. Meri is [the] perfect example,” one Reddit user added their opinion.
“Robyn lead Meri astray with her and [Kody’s] lies and deceit. I felt bad for Meri the hold time that she didn’t see what they were doing to her smdh,” another added.
The drama continues
At the end of the day, many Sister Wives viewers really seemed to sympathize with Meri. In the beginning, she desperately wanted a friend in the house. Sadly, it seems that Robyn Brown used and manipulated her to get her own way.
At the very least, Meri is on a much better path today. She has friends and her businesses in Utah to keep her busy. Fans hope that her journey from here is much brighter than it was while she was one of Kody’s wives.
