When asked about the possibility of an NSYNC Reunion Tour, Joey Fatone feels optimistic about getting the band back together again.

While attending the Bilt Rewards’ 2023 Winter Holiday House Party in New York City on December 13, Fatone was spotted with Lance Bass. People had the chance to catch up with the pair and ask them about their future plans with the band. The popular boy band recently reunited to record the single “Better Place” for the Trolls Band Together soundtrack.

When pressed about the likelihood of an NSYNC Reunion Tour, Fatone left the door open.  “You know what? Never say never. I think we have to honestly have a sit-down and have a conversation,” he said.

An NSYNC Reunion Tour ‘Looks Promising’

Reunion tours are nothing new, but they are far from a guarantee for many bands. Some bands like R.E.M., Oasis, and The White Stripes break up and never return on stage together. To Fatone, the idea of an NSYNC Reunion Tour is a welcome one. They just need to figure it all out first.

“There’s been talks about, ‘Do we want to do something?’ and ‘How are we gonna do it?’ But nothing’s in motion yet,” Fatone told People. “So, I’ll say never say never, but I’m not saying no, and I’m not saying yes. But we still have to have that conversation. It looks promising.”

Bass added that he only wants one thing for a possible reunion. He wants to be able to enjoy himself. “I hope the future of the band is fun,” he says. “I hope we find something that we can do together.”

Fatone offered up a quick rebuttal. “I mean, we did Trolls,” he joked.

“It can be Trolls 4, 5, and 6, and I’d be happy with that, but if it’s something bigger than that, that would be even better,” Bass said. “We gotta sit down and talk, and it’s gonna take us a little while to figure that out. In a perfect world, that would be great.”

NSYNC ‘Has Their Own Lives Now’

One major roadblock to a reunion tour is the fact that the band members are no longer in the same place in their personal lives as they were in their heyday. For Fatone, working around everyone’s personal lives offers up a whole other set of challenges.

“We’d love to do more music,” said Fatone. “Again, it’s just one of those things. You know, everybody has to get that time to get in there to get in the studio. I mean, it took us a minute to get in and do the Trolls song, so imagine doing a whole album.”

“Everybody has their own lives now. A lot of people are married, have kids, so it is a little bit difficult,” continues Fatone. “People are like, ‘Let’s do it now.’ It’s like, ‘OK, let me drop my kids. Let me just do everything just for you.’ We want to do it, but it’s getting it all done.”
