‘The View’ Big Clue Joy Behar Retirement Looming?
Is there a big clue that Joy Behar’s retirement from The View is looming overhead? The eighty-one-year-old comedian has so much going on in the coming year. Yet, she has been holding steady with the popular long-running talk show. Unfortunately, is her time coming to an end? Read on for more details.
The View Big Clue Joy Behar Retirement Looming?
Recently, Joy Behar gave some suggestions as to where she might be an asset once she retires from The View. At the same time, she feels that in her line of work, she will never truly be retired, so to speak. The comedienne has a few projects that she is working on, set for the next year or so. Not only does she have a non-fiction book on the horizon but she also has her plays, Bonkers in the Boroughs. She recently premiered them and hopes to for a set release at the end of 2024/early 2025.
This is the same time as her book so she has a very full plate. Fortunately, she has Mondays off from her co-hosting duties. Now, according to Monster & Critics, there is a clue that has emerged showing Joy’s time may be coming to an end sooner rather than later. First off, it has been noted that she is always chatting about retirement on the show’s podcast, The View: Behind the Table. That was when she was called out for emailing in Hot Topic ideas on her day off. Apparently, she had a schedule change which she was not happy about at all.
So, it seems Joy Behar was a tad unnerved by the fact that she was not the guest for the podcast on Wednesday. EP, Brian Teta had two other guests and it threw Joy for a loop. She was then scheduled for the following day which led her to ask: “Why am I here on Thursday?” Yes, she was given a proper explanation but apparently, that did not suffice. “I have to readjust my schedule according to a whim?” she asked. Her EP chimed in with: “Yes, the whims of Brian Teta.”
Too Much Drama
Joy Behar has been with The View since its inception so this is something that she is just used to. However, there was a time when she was axed from the series only to come back. She has strong beliefs and opinions which was what the show was initially based on. Yet, she can be a bit much at times and that could come with the fact that she knows she has a lot of excitement ahead of her. Or, she could simply be tired of the redundancy of the show.
