Weld County Sheriff’s Office Exits On Patrol: Live
It was just yesterday that the Sheriff’s Office located in Greeley, Colorado took to social media to break the news to everyone.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office will be taking a break from @OfficialOPLive. We’ve enjoyed our time on the show and hope to be riding with OPL again in the future! Thank you to our community and #OPNation for their support of our WCSO deputies.”
Weld County clarified they did not want everyone to see the exit as “goodbye” but more of a “see you later.” Turns out, the Sheriff’s Office has every hope of returning to ride with On Patrol: Live again in the future.
Too Big For The Series?
On Reddit, one fan of On Patrol: Live admits they aren’t too bummed by losing Weld County. Turns out, they believed the location was just too large to be enjoyable to watch on On Patrol: Live. The individual clarified they were more than qualified to have an opinion on this because they lived in Weld County.
I live here and it’s honestly too big of a county to cover. Especially if they’re not going to hang out in Greeley. I also don’t think the cold weather helps here in Weld. I think they would be better off covering somewhere like Jefferson County. Get both mountain and city.”
Here’s what others had to say about the exit:
- “Why are allot of departments dropping off.”
- “OPL should try to get Yonkers PD in NY on. They’re a busy city connected to the Bronx. There would definitely be tons of action there.”
- “I suspect one of the Florida departments will be leaving soon to add another non-Florida agency. My guess is Lee. I know they haven’t been around long, but I doubt they’re getting rid of Daytona with how much content comes out of there.”
- “Warwick RI has a signed a contract and still waiting.”
Why So Many Changes?
One big question fans of On Patrol: Live has is simple: Why is it that offices continue to leave the series? Furthermore, fans agree that what they DON’T want is another department from Florida to step up to the plate.
Overall, viewers agreed that Weld Country wasn’t that exciting to watch as nothing ever really happened worth filming.
