How Many Episodes Will Midsomer Murders Season 24 Have?
Acorn TV ordered four episodes for Midsomer Murders Season 24. This is the second year in a row that the popular mystery series has four episodes. In many of the previous seasons, such as Season 22, they did make six episodes.
This season, the four episodes are as varied as the residents of the bucolic Midsomer. In the season premiere, an inheritance dispute gets deadly. Next, the author of a treasure hunt is found murdered. The penultimate episode is about the sometimes deadly world of dognapping. Hopefully, Paddy is safe! Lastly, when an American buys a village, the idyllic town turns deadly.
Here are all the synopses.
- Episode 1 is called “The Devil’s Work.” This is available starting Monday, December 4. According to Rotten Tomatoes, “The demise of the Shirewood patriarch sparks a vicious inheritance dispute when eldest son Lucian announces plans to break up an estate that’s been in the family for centuries.”
- Episode 2 is called “Book of The Dead.” This episode is available starting Monday, December 11. “When the author of a book that sparked a nationwide treasure hunt is found dead, Barnaby and Winter must unravel the cryptic clues to find the killer.”
- Episode 3 is called “Claws Out.” Acorn TV will make this available on Monday, December 18. “After a pet detective turns up dead inside the kennel of the dog he was searching for, Barnaby and Winter are drawn into a world of dognapping, cat seduction, and animal investigation.”
- Episode 4 is called “A Climate Of Death.” This episode will be available on Monday, December 25. “Sleepy Goodman’s Land, known as the greenest village in Midsomer, is brought by a Texas oilman following the sale, a string of grisly murders ensues.”
Where Can Mystery Fans Watch Season 24?
The only place that Midsomer Murder fans can watch Season 24 is on Acorn TV. In the past, the series based on the novels of Caroline Graham, were available on PBS, Netflix, and even BritBox.
Furthermore, Acorn TV is the only place to watch these episodes in the United States.

Now that Midsomer Murders is returning for Series 24, who is back? Firstly, Neil Dudgeon is back as DCI John Barnaby. In addition, Nick Hendrix is returning as DS Jamie Winter.
