‘GMA’ New Hosts Replace Michael Strahan & Robin Roberts
Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts were missing from Good Morning America on Friday without warning. Their recent absences have GMA viewers wondering if they are planning to leave the show or if something else is happening. Keep reading to see the surprising co-hosts that took their place and when they will return.
GMA Hosts Missing Due To ‘Personal Matters’
DeMarco Morgan filled in for Michael on Friday, and Eva Pilgrim replaced Robin. The pair, who are co-hosts on GMA3, were comfortable sitting in for the two morning talk show legends. They fit right in next to George Stephanopoulos.
Robin Roberts is expected to return to Good Morning America this week, as usual. There are no further details as to why she was out on Friday.
However, Friday hasn’t been the only day that Michael Strahan was unexpectedly absent from GMA recently. The NFL star was also missing from the morning show on Thursday. Linsey Davis filled in for him. This comes after a lengthy absence in early November.
Before that, GMA viewers know that Michael Strahan took a leave from the show for three weeks, returning on November 15. Many people were concerned about his well-being and reached out to see how he was doing.

A network spokesperson told The U.S. Sun that “he is dealing with some personal family matters. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
Upon his return, Robin Roberts paused the show to acknowledge Michael. She said, “Can I just say we have tears of joy because Michael is back here?”
Michael Strahan replied, “It’s great to be back with both of you! Thank you guys.”
Michael Strahan Also Has Other Projects Going On
After returning to GMA in mid-November, Michael also returned to social media. He took a hiatus while dealing with his personal family matters.
A photo of him alongside his twin daughters surfaced on Instagram. The NFL star wore a broad smile while standing behind Sophia and Isabella. His daughter Sophia captioned the post “Always thankful.”

In addition to dealing with his own personal family matters, Michael Strahan has several other projects going on. Of course, during football season, he appears on FOX NFL Sunday.
Recently, he also shared that he is working on another project via his Instagram Stories. The GMA host is working on a second season of the Deion Sanders documentary series. The show, Coach Prime, made its debut on Amazon Prime Video in 2022.
He has also been hosting The $100,000 Pyramid and stepped away to guest judge Dancing With The Stars.
Unfortunately for fans, Michael Strahan will likely be absent from the show soon as well. However, there are no plans for him to depart from Good Morning America at this time.
