What Is Hallmark’s Rescuing Christmas About?
What if Christmas was erased? How can it come back? Read on to learn more about Hallmark Movies Now’s new holiday movie Rescuing Christmas. According to the synopsis, freelance photographer Erin Smithson is not looking forward to the upcoming holiday season. Last year, she had a nasty breakup that still makes her out of sorts. Erin is not feeling merry or festive.

She is not happy with all the spam in her inbox. She is constantly getting emails from Santa’s two elves Chuck and Debbie. They are in charge of the Operation Wish program. They keep sending her emails that she has won Santa’s contest that grants three free wishes.
Therefore, things dramatically change when Santa gives the frustrated Erin “three magical Christmas wishes.” Mad at everything, Erin wishes that Christmas never existed. Because this is Santa, she gets her wish. Moreover, now that Christmas is gone, Erin is the only one who remembers it. Worst of all, there are some pretty major consequences.

Now, Erin has to fix things. She needs to introduce Christmas to everyone. Thanks to her recent successful blind date, Sam, she has someone who believes her. The two are tasked with reintroducing the holiday traditions with her family. How will they embrace them? Can the gift of Christmas be shared with others?

Where Was Hallmark’s Rescuing Christmas Filmed?
Hallmark filmed Rescuing Christmas in Duluth, Minnesota. According to the Duluth News Tribune, the movie features several Minnesota-based actors. Moreover, scenes are filmed in some iconic locations in the Northern Minnesota setting. That includes the Lake Superior Railroad Museum that promises “a mini Polar Express.”
