‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown Detached From Reality, Deliberately Blocks His Kids?
Sister Wives star Kody Brown has been struggling with some of his kids since Covid-19. The pandemic damaged his relationships with the majority of them, as they didn’t agree with his social distancing protocols. It also helped escalate the deterioration of his already messy marriages, ultimately leading to Meri, Janelle, and Christine’s departures. However, it seems that Kody hasn’t made any effort to fix his family. Some Reddit users even speculated that he’s deliberately blocking off his estranged kids from his life.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Struggles With The Kids
Season 18 documented the downfall of the Brown family. Some of the episodes also featured Kody’s struggles with the kids, especially with Gabriel and Garrison. The two chose to disregard their father’s Covid-19 rules, which led to their feud. However, things got worse as the patriarch began to neglect them. He did apologize during the latest season. But some think it wasn’t sincere considering how they haven’t improved today. Garrison even stated in one of their episodes that they don’t need a father figure anymore, and it seems Kody took it personally.
Is Kody Disregarding Estranged Kids?
Some fans on Reddit discussed Kody’s odd behavior towards his kids during Season 18 and the Tell-All. According to the poster, the Sister Wives star has been referring to his children as “Janelle’s kids” or “Christine’s kids.” He hasn’t called their names for quite some time, especially the estranged ones, creating speculation that he has disregarded them for good.
- “Kody is so detached from the reality of the situation between him and most of Janelle’s kids that he can’t even say their names. During the one to one, Suki asked him about not going to Christmas to see Christine and Janelles’ (HIS) kids,” the poster said.
- “It’s easier to hate and say horrible things and justify his horrid behavior towards his children if he dehumanizes each of them by removing their names and calling the group “them.” It is typical hate speech and tactics,” another commenter added.
Others agreed and said that it was a sign of immaturity on Kody Brown’s end. Some also added that he only thinks about himself and hasn’t acted like a father due to his feud with his ex-wives.
Sister Wives: Fans Feel Bad For Robyn Brown’s Kids
Some Sister Wives fans also feel bad for Robyn’s kids. “We are all seeing how Robyn’s kids are turning out so far. The keep sweet, obey and don’t question. I feel so much for them,” one Reddit user said. The same commenter also pointed out how the other Brown adults have thrived in life without Kody’s presence, and it’s something that Robyn’s kids may not experience.
Others also agreed that the kids are better off without their dad if he’s not going to change how he treats them. “I honestly don’t think he patented the original kids much at all. Those kids grew up independent because they had no choice,” another person said.
