Kylie Kelce Defends Her Statement On Taylor Swift Spotlight
After stirring up a mini-controversy, Kylie Kelce took to TikTok to clarify the comments she made regarding her feelings on the Taylor Swift spotlight.
For any fans of the NFL, the 2023 season has certainly been a memorable one so far. From early-season superstar injuries to impressive rookie performances, there have been plenty of storylines for fans to keep track of. But perhaps the greatest NFL storyline of them all has taken place off of the field. The highly-publicized romance between Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has taken the league by storm. You’d be hard-pressed to watch an NFL game and not hear about an update about the iconic power couple.
But for some people, getting caught up in the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift spotlight is secondary to what really matters the most. For Travis Kelce’s sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, she just wants to watch some football.
Is Kylie Kelce Avoiding The Taylor Swift Spotlight?
Kylie, wife of Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce, is no stranger to the life of an NFL player’s significant other. Before marrying in 2018, the couple met in a very modern way just three years earlier. “Jason won’t let me lie about this,” Kylie told People. “We met on Tinder.”
Kylie said she had no idea that the person she matched with on the dating app was a professional athlete. “None of his pictures showed Eagles football,” she said. After a Google image search, she was able to identify Jason as an NFL player. She assumed, “It can’t be him; it’s a catfish.”
“I said it’s not my cup of tea to like, have attention on me. I didn’t say that,” she said while pointing to the Page Six headline in a TikTok. “That seems like a stretch to me. You’re reaching, you are reaching. You’re reaching!”

Kylie then continued to explain her stance on being in the spotlight. “It’s not particularly my cup of tea to be in the spotlight or in front of a camera, I was a communication major in college. I love to be behind it — that’s my bread and butter,” Kylie said. “But at the end of the day, if it creates opportunities like this where we can leverage my network and figure out how to impact a community that has been so, so kind to the entire Kelce family, I’m so happy to be able to give back to Kansas City in this way.”
‘F*** Around And Find Out’
Kylie Kelce is a Philadelphia native, so she is certainly not one to shy away from speaking her mind. “These tabloids… nonsense,” she said. “I’ll tell you what we truly believe at the bottom of our hearts in Philadelphia: F*** around and find out.”
To Kylie, her reasoning for not being stuck in a suite in Kansas City was simple. “Travis has a lot of people who come to games — appropriately so, everyone loves to support him. But it means that it’s a tight squeeze in there,” Kylie said. “Also, it’s fun to cheer and not feel like the entire room’s rooting against you.”

Kylie is passionate about supporting her husband’s playing career. She just wants to do it her own way. “I will be in the stands,” she added. “I’m a stands girl — I love sitting in the stands, cheering with the fans, even if it’s in an opposing team’s stadium.”
