New Episodes Of ‘The View’ Not Airing, Fans Furious

New episodes of The View were missing from the schedule both yesterday (Thanksgiving) and today. While fans of the talk show understood not airing a new episode on Thanksgiving, fans didn’t really understand not airing a new episode the day after Thanksgiving. New Episodes Of The View Not Airing, Fans Furious

A new episode of The View not airing yesterday really didn’t surprise anyone. After all, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade aired on the channel in place of the talk show. On Friday, however, viewers fully expected the hosts to return for a new episode.

So, fans felt as though they had been slapped in the face by producers when they turned on their TVs and discovered there wasn’t a new episode today. Instead, a re-run of The View from October 25th featuring Morgan Freeman as a special guest.

When Will A New Episode Air?

Fortunately, new episodes of The View will return on Monday, November 27th. Again, fans had no issues with the hosts of the talk show taking Thanksgiving off. They, however, thought it was “annoying” they also took Friday off.

On Reddit, fans argued they should have at least pre-recorded an episode so fans could watch something new the day after Thanksgiving. Furthermore, fans were most annoyed with the fact that they were not told ahead of time a new episode would not be airing today.

Here’s what some frustrated viewers had to say on social media:

• “So annoying, I thought we would get a new episode this morning”
• “They always take the friday after thanksgiving off…as do many working people”
• “Isn’t it a long weekend in the US?”
• “It’s literally the day after Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The show isn’t new, and no talk shows that are live are new the day after Thanksgiving.”

In response to the Reddit thread, many actually rushed in to defend Whoopi and her co-hosts. They noted that it was pretty standard for people to be off work on Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving. Other fans agreed the hosts certainly deserved the opportunity to be with their loved ones.
