Whoopi Goldberg and other members of The View got an early Thanksgiving taster. However, fans were less than impressed with etiquette.

On Wednesday, Nov. 22, The View brought in chef Carla Hall to discuss some great Thanksgiving ideas. These bite-sized treats offered viewers a chance to find something a little different for their holiday feasts. The co-hosts tried each bite to share their opinions, good and bad.

Fans quickly took to Twitter/X to share their thoughts on how the co-hosts handled eating on air. Of course, fans focused on one co-host in particular. It looks like lessons in etiquette are needed.

What Did Carla Hall Make on The View?

Hall brought some different types of treats to add to the Thankgiving feast. The Sun shared some of the dishes. Those who love grilled cheese sandwiches got to see one made with a kale pesto sauce. That’s one way to use up the leafy green that tends to sit wilting in the fridge. For those who have butternut squash, one option on offer was a butternut squash arancini.

Of course, it’s not all about food at Thanksgiving, and not everyone will drink alcohol. Hall brought a non-alcoholic apple cider Cosmo for The View hosts to try. It can always be made into an alcoholic version if needed.

A lot of comments about the co-hosts and the food were positive, but there were a few against one co-host in particular. Fans didn’t like the way Whoopi Goldberg acted on set.

Why Did The View Fans Attack Whoopi Goldberg Online?

It all comes down to etiquette. As young children, most people are taught not to speak with their mouth full. That is hard when it comes to co-hosts on a TV series. The co-hosts need to keep the program going, but they need to follow etiquette at the same time. This is why small bites is favored.

Goldberg did not follow etiquette, and fans were quick to point that out. They took to social media to share how Goldberg talked with her mouth full on multiple occasions. One fan even went as far to say that Whoopi on set with food is “deadly.” The decision on Whoopi’s part certainly took the focus away from the Thanksgiving food during the segment of the show.
