‘The Descendants 4’ Gets Title Change and Confirmed Synopsis

Another The Descendants movie is on its way, and this one will see a change of main cast. The Descendants 4 has a title and a synopsis.

The third Descendants movie seemed to wrap everything up for the core four children of villains who made their way to the good side. Yet, a fourth movie is on its way to the Disney Channel and Disney+. Of course, there are a lot of questions about what this fourth installment could be about. There are not many details just yet about the latest movie, although fans have a synopsis and a title to look forward to. Now fans want to know if any of the original cast members will reprise their roles.

What Is The Descendants 4 Called?

The fourth installment was originally called The Pocketwatch. After all, the movie involves a couple of new characters using a pocketwatch to go back in time to change the story. However, that title has since changed.

Now, the movie is called The Descendants: The Rise of Red. No, this is not about Little Red Riding Hood. Remember that these movies are all about the children of the villains. At least, the main characters are children of villains. This one is focused on a certain Queen of Hearts.

What Is The Descendants: The Rise of Red About?

Red is the daughter of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. It is her turn to prove that just because parents are villains doesn’t mean that the children should be written off. Rather than having a team of other villainous children, though, Red will team up with Chloe, the daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming.

According to Just Jared Jr., Red and Chloe end up meeting at Auradon during a momentous celebration. As chaos breaks out, the two will need to travel back in time. Fortunately, the MAd Hatter’s son created a pocketwatch that can be used to travel back in time, and that’s what the two teenage girls will use to change events and save the present day.

Who Stars in the New Disney Movie?

The Descendants 4 has a mixture of new and old faces. Kylie Cantrall will star as Red, with Malia Baker as Chloe. The two will lead the new story, with a certain sea witch’s daughter helping them. Yes, China Anne McClain is back as Uma, the daughter of Ursula, introduced in the third movie. Dara Reneé will join the cast as Uliana, Uma’s sister.

This movie even gives fans a look at one of the Disney villains as their younger selves. Ruby Rose Turner will play Bridget, who happens to grow up as the Queen of Hearts. What happened to Bridget to make her want to shout “off with their heads” at everyone? Does it have something to do with a young Cinderella (played by Morgan Dudley)?
