90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort became one of TLC’s most successful spinoffs this year. It featured the marital issues of multiple couples from past seasons. However, Paula Mayfield, who starred in the first season of 90 Day Fiance, revealed that she and her husband, Russ, were supposed to take part in the spinoff. 90 Day Fiance: Paola & Russ Mayfield Continue To Work On Their Marriage
Russ and Paola have been through many obstacles in their marriage. They briefly separated in August 2021 and eventually reconciled by December of the same year. At this point, the 90 Day Fiance stars have been trying their best to stay present for each other, especially for their child, Axel.
Paola is currently a personal trainer, nutrition coach, and a professional entertainment wrestler. She hasn’t had a match for quite some time. But she’s been sharing clips of herself training her wrestling moves. Meanwhile, Russ is pursuing a career in voice-over acting. The husband and wife have also inspired many to live a physically active life.
Paola Shares Reason To Why She Turned Down The Spinoff
Paola recently had an interview where she revealed the reason why she and her husband turned down 90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort. It’s no secret that the two have been trying to fix their marriage for years. However, the 36-year-old wife wants to keep their problems to themselves. According to the reality TV personality, she doesn’t have something interesting to drop like what the participants did. Paola Mayfield also added that there’s no money that would make her spill so many private things between her and Russ.
90 Day Fiance: Paola Mayfield Has Another Project
Aside from wanting to keep things private, Paola also revealed another reason why she’s fine with turning down the spinoff. According to the 90 Day Fiance star, she already filmed for a new show called The GOAT, which is a reality competition show featuring popular members from different reality series.
She also said that it’s “gonna be a hell of a show” and she’s very excited about it as people can get to see a different side of her. Nevertheless, Paola Mayfield is still open to future projects with TLC, and she will always be grateful for the network she grew up with. “If they call me back, I’ll definitely do it,” she added.
