’90 Day Fiancé:’ Paola & Russ Mayfield Squash Divorce Rumors
Fans have been keeping a close eye on the relationship between Russ Mayfield and his wife, Paola. The pair, who are seemingly polar opposites, recently addressed rumors that they were getting a divorce. The 90 Day Fiance couple isn’t splitting up any time soon.
Working On Their Marriage
Honestly, Russ Mayfield and Paola seemed to be one of the few couples from the reality TV show that were doing well. However, Paola is a bit of a problem starter. In 2019, she started fueling rumors that she was getting divorced when she posted a rather cryptic tweet. In the tweet, Paola said she doesn’t post photos of her and Russ because she doesn’t like to pretend everything is okay. Once she posted that, the rumors started flying.

Eventually, Dominique Enchinton, Paola’s manager, confirmed that the couple was taking a break. According to Enchinton, the pandemic took a huge toll on their relationship. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Russ and Paola were living in an RV in close quarters. Being on top of someone, indoors, for 24 hours a day, seven days a week can be taxing on anyone’s relationship. In the public eye, Paola continued to make jabs at her hubby on social media. So, fans were still confused about what was happening with the couple.
That being said, Paola’s manager pushed back against any divorce rumors. Enchinton said that Paola and Russ were both interested in pursuing marriage counseling, which they did.
What’s Next for Paola and Russ Mayfield?
Thankfully, the counseling seems to have done its job because the Mayfields look to be as in love as ever. Paola revealed in an Instagram post that she and Russ reconciled their differences and fans expressed how happy they were. Many people who have tuned into 90 Day Fiance know that the Mayfield couple has had their share of conflict. They’ve really had to put in the effort to make things work.

Russ, who typically stays away from commenting on his wife’s social media, made an exception in early December, which started to squash the divorce rumors. In the post, which showed a photo of the couple and their son, Paola expressed how thankful she was to spend time with them before heading to Atlanta for work. Russ replied saying they would miss her. Fans definitely noticed that exchange and, as we said, it looks like they’re making things work.
Some people have speculated that Paola made up the rumors about the divorce herself to stir up some publicity and be featured on the show. Maybe she just wanted attention from fans or followers. Others have said the couple is working things out for their son, who will turn three years old on January 1. Whatever the case may be, Paola and Russ Mayfield are here to stay – for a while, at least.
