Jenelle Evans Sparks Concern For Kids Following Confession

Teen Mom alum, Jenelle Evans, once again has fans and haters alike concerned for her children. Evans and her husband, David Eason, have recently been attracting a lot of attention stemming from abuse allegations from Jenelle’s son Jace. As if that weren’t enough, Jenelle now has fans worried for her other children, as well. Read on for more details!

Custody of Jace

Long-time viewers of 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom are well aware of Jenelle’s lack of parental involvement. Since the birth of her oldest son, Jace, Evans is seen coming in and out of his life as her mother, Barbara Evans, raised him. She is seen in several relationships including that of her second child, Kaiser’s, father Nathan Griffith, and her current husband, David Eason. Evans also shared a daughter, Ensley, with David.

It wasn’t until March of this year (2023) that Jenelle finally gained custody of her oldest son. That happiness was short-lived, however, as Jace ran away for the first time just 5 months later. Within a month’s time, Jace was reported missing a total of three times. The most recent runaway led to Jace being removed from his mother and stepfather’s care. Upon finding the minor, he was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. During his stay, he claimed he ran away due to Eason assaulting him. As a result, CPS opened an investigation, and Jace was returned to his grandmother’s home. A decision regarding his permanent custody has not been made as of yet.

Jenelle’s Poor Choices

One particular narrative that has stuck with Jenelle: always choosing men over her kids. Janelle claims that this view is held solely by her mother. However, in a recent video stitch posted to her Facebook, it’s clear that Barbara isn’t alone. Janelle clapped back when fans accused her of caring more about her husband than her son after she shared images of a recent photo shoot along with a message of support for Eason. She says, “Last time I checked, David’s part of our family, and I’m not going to choose one person or the other. Why do I have to choose?”

Evans Being Neglectful

Fans are now concerned that Jenelle is neglecting Kaiser and Ensley after she shared a shocking confession. Evans posted a new video with the younger children during a time when they should have been at school. Naturally, a follower questioned why they weren’t attending that day. To many people’s surprise, Janelle responded, “They don’t need school anymore.”

While there were many surprised by this comment, there were an equal number of those who weren’t due to her previous lack of stellar mothering. One subthread couldn’t make sense of her choosing to pull them from school when she is already involved in a CPS investigation. Although others were quick to point out that it could be a move to avoid any further suspicions of abuse. They continued on that it’s much easier for them to hide Eason’s abusive tendencies if the children aren’t in a public setting.
