The former DWTS champion gave Harry Jowsey and his dance partner Rylee Arnold some advice on the best way to deal with backlash from the haters.

If anybody knows anything about dealing with the scorn of diehard Dancing With The Stars fans, it’s Bobby Bones. The radio host could not escape the animosity from the dance competition’s most passionate supporters. Bones and his dance partner Sharna Burgess outlasted 12 other teams in order to hoist the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in Season 27.

Bobby Bones Knows How To Shut Up The Haters

Despite winning it all in 2018, the dancing aspect of the show didn’t come easy for Bones. The host of The Bobby Bones Show would be the first one to admit that he is not a natural dancer. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t work on his dancing. In fact, that is exactly what he told Jowsey when he sent a message of encouragement. Bones recorded a short video to offer up some advice on how to properly handle the haters.

“I’m seeing you get some slack online and, yeah, welcome to the club, buddy,” Bones said. “People hate us, ’cause they ain’t us, and they don’t work like we do. Keep up the good work, because that’s what it is — work. It’s not where you start, it’s where you end.”

For Bones, his hard work certainly paid off for him in the end. Despite being an underdog for much of the season, it was Bones who had the last laugh. And to him, that’s the perfect way to silence the doubters. “And yeah, sure, the obnoxious, loud ‘DWTS’ superfan might be anti-Harry, but the person that’s watching at home relates to Harry, just like they related to me,” Bones said.

Harry Jowsey Feeling The Heat From Fans

One of the main complaints against Jowsey this season has been his overall stiffness on the dance floor. Fans have complained that he simply lacks the fluidity of a much more natural dancer. “I physically can’t watch another lifeless and stiff performance from Harry, I can’t do it anymore. Please set us free of this man,” wrote one angry X user.

Whether or not Jowsey is a great dancer isn’t the only factor in his progression through the show. The 26-year-old actor has amassed quite the following online. He has over 5 million followers on TikTok alone. He also boasts an additional 4 million followers on Instagram as well. With that type of fanbase behind him, it’s not hard to see why he’s able to make it through with the fan vote.

You can probably add at least one more fan to that tally now. Bones appears to be all aboard the Jowsey hype train. “It’s championship time, baby, let’s go! I’ve been watching, I’ve been following you, I’ve been rooting for ya,” Bones told Jowsey. “Go get that championship, buddy! Good luck.”
