‘GMA’ When Is Michael Strahan Returning To The Show?
Michael Strahan finally made his return to Fox’s NFL Sunday, should fans expect to see him back on GMA this week?
After what seemed like an eternity, Michael Strahan returned to the panel for NFL Sunday. On November 12, the football analyst joined his co-host, Curt Menefee, for the network’s pregame to honor veterans. The show was live on location at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado to celebrate Veteran’s Day. Strahan has a close connection to the U.S. military. His father was an Army major, and Strahan spent a large portion of his youth at an Army base in Mannheim, Germany.
Michael Strahan Doesn’t Miss A Beat In His Return To TV
Strahan had last appeared on NFL Sunday on October 22, so it was okay to expect some rust. But the former defensive end was in mid-season form. Despite the extended absence from the show, Strahan elected not to address his personal family matters. Instead, he opted to jump right back into the action.
During a comical segment in the pregame show, members of the military asked the Fox crew to define obscure military jargon. On his turn, Strahan was asked what “punch out” meant. Without hesitation, Strahan confidently answered, “That means somebody makes you mad. You have to calm yourself before you punch them out.”

Strahan wasn’t exactly close to answering the question correctly, but it was a good attempt.
When Can GMA Fans Expect Strahan Back On The Show?
With Strahan back in action on Fox’s NFL Sunday, what does that mean for his return to GMA? According to the Los Angeles Times, Strahan will come back to the popular daytime talk show on November 15. This will be the first time the TV personality will appear on Good Morning America in nearly three weeks.

Strahan first left Good Morning America fans worried when he took more than his usual Monday off. Since Fox’s NFL Sunday typically tapes in Los Angeles, Strahan is off each Monday during the football season to allow him to travel back to New York City, where GMA is taped. But after a few unexplained absences, it became apparent that something was going on with Strahan.
After several missed shows, it was announced that Strahan was taking a brief leave of absence from the show for personal reasons. “Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” an ABC spokesperson said in a statement on November 6. “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
Menefee also spoke about the absence of Strahan during last week’s Fox NFL Sunday. In between segments on the NFL analysis show, Menefee took a moment to address the situation. The host stated that Strahan was not part of the show on November 5 because he was “dealing with a personal family matter.” Out of respect for Strahan and his family, neither ABC nor Fox elaborated on what the personal family matter entailed.
