The retired interior designer suffered a stress fracture in her leg during a group pickleball tournament in week four. She shared the news with the other ladies during a pre-rose ceremony cocktail party, stating:
“It hurts … I’m just hanging in.
While overhearing other contestants discuss their deep connections with Gerry Turner, she realized he didn’t reciprocate her feelings. Nancy told him during their one-on-one discussion, adding,
“I think you’ve, in a way, narrowed it down. But maybe I’m not in that group. You’re a lot more passionate with other people,”
The Golden Bachelor, Nancy Hulkower, shocked everyone by leaving the mansion just before the rose ceremony. Nancy says she’s a dear friend to Kathy and will stick by her side.
What Gerry Turner Said About Nancy Leaving
Before he gave out roses following the cocktail party, Gerry Turner told the women he had to stay true to his heart since he had already formed stronger relationships with other contestants. He explained to the ladies:
“Saying goodbye to Nancy this afternoon was very difficult. Going forward, I need to make the right decision to make good decisions.”
