Kim Kardashian Shares Why North West Prefers Living with Kanye
Media personality, socialite, and businesswoman Kim Kardashian shares four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, with her ex-husband, Kanye West. The oldest, North, prefers living with her father over her mother, and Kim explains why.
North West Says Her Dad Is The Best
Kim shares two daughters, North and Chicago, and two sons, Saint and Psalm, with her ex-husband, Kanye West. The two began dating in April 2012 and married in October 2013. Kim initially filed for divorce on February 19, 2021, due to irreconcilable differences, and agreed to joint custody of their children. By November 2022, the divorce settlement was reached.
When it comes to how North perceives her father, he is better in every way. Kim tells her sister, Kourtney Kardashian during the sixth episode of season four of The Kardashians that Kanye, “has it all figured out. He doesn’t have a nanny he doesn’t have a chef, he doesn’t have security. He lives in an apartment. And she’ll start crying, ‘why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment.'”
Kourtney relates all too well with Kim’s plight, facing the same situation with her children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, who all prefer spending time at their father, Scott Disick’s home. “They’ll do that at Scott’s too,” Kourtney says, “‘Dad has the best house, your house sucks. He has the best house. It’s not super big, the vibe’s better.’ I feel like everything falls on the parent that’s more involved.”

Kim Makes An Effort To Spend More One-On-One Time With Her Daughter
After talking with Kourtney, whom Kim admits she always turns to for motherhood advice despite their differences, Kim made an effort to spend some more quality time with North. Kourtney suggested Kim try normal activities with her children rather than luxurious ones. Kourtney tells Kim that North is her lesson in life. “I’m supposed to learn even more about patience,” Kim says. “She teaches me patience. She has taught me a lot about life.”

Kim Shares Some Insight Into What She Learned About Herself
After becoming a mother, Kim has learned a lot about herself. During an episode of the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, she said, “It is the most rewarding job in the entire world. There is nothing that can prepare you. I don’t care how long you wait. I don’t care what you’re waiting for. You are never prepared.” She goes on to say, “You will figure it out, and it will you make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out. And That you got through the day.
Kim shares tons of photos and videos across social media showcasing her relationship with her children from the time they were born. Several photos show off how the two spend their time together, such as sitting courtside at a Laker’s game for North’s tenth birthday.
