‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Surprising Demands For Thanksgiving
A producer from The View has revealed that Whoopi Goldberg has made some surprising demands for the show’s Thanksgiving program. Her requests were discussed on a recent episode of the show’s podcast, The View: Behind the Table. Keep reading to see what kind of demands the host has been making.
Is Whoopi Goldberg Retiring From The View?
There have been several rumors about Whoopi Goldberg retiring from The View soon. The award-winning actress has been on the panel for the daily talk show since 2007.
However, Ana Navarro said that she doesn’t think that will happen any time soon. In fact, she thinks that Joy Behar will leave the show before Whoopi does. Then she joked that she thought both veteran show hosts would outlive her.

When asked about the possibility of retirement, Whoopi Goldberg said, “I’ve done nothing but retire. I’ve been retired my whole career, so I kind of like that, yeah.”
She also pointed out that as long as the terms of her contract are being met, no one is upset. Whoopi has been enjoying a flexible schedule on the show for several years. Right now, she has off every Friday, and Joy Behar takes off on Mondays. On those days, the remaining hosts hold down the show.
Whoopi Goldberg has been on The View long enough to be able to make these kinds of demands. Recently, a producer for the show revealed that she makes requests for special episodes too.
Whoopi Makes Demands Ahead Of Thanksgiving
Producer Brian Teta sat down to have a chat with The View co-host Ana Navarro. As they recapped the week, the subject of Whoopi Goldberg’s Thanksgiving demands came up.
The pair talked about various foods they’ve tried on the show, which led the discussion in the direction of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Ana asked Brian what kind of turkey they would be having to celebrate on the show.

Brian Teta then revealed that there is already a plan in place for The View Thanksgiving program. Everything was specifically requested by Whoopi Goldberg years ago.
“So, this is interesting. Whoopi started this a long time ago,” he told Ana Navarro. “Obviously, our Thanksgiving show is not on Thanksgiving. It’s the day before, and [Whoopi] doesn’t want to eat turkey two days in a row, so instead of actually having turkey, we have appetizers.”
They have been eating appetizers rather than turkey on the show ever since Whoopi made the request. Ana, on the other hand, didn’t seem to mind the idea of having turkey two days in a row. She gushed over how much she loves turkey.
