Two families have an unexpected connection. What is A Season For Family about? According to the Hallmark synopsis, single mom Maddy is a success story. She loves her job as the manager of a five-star hotel, and her adopted son Wesley is her whole life. Therefore, when Wesley reveals his Christmas wish, she gets right to figure it out.
What Wesley wants is to meet his brother. His brother was adopted by another family. Maddy contacts the adoption agency, who in turn contact Paul. Widowed, Paul is the father to Cody, whom they adopted years ago.
Paul, who owns a Park City, Utah ski shop has mixed emotions about this reunion. He nixes any sort of reunion as this not being “the right time.” Ironically, Maddy and Wesley head to Park City to spend time with the family during the holidays. Coincidentally, they find themselves in Paul’s ski shop.
The next day, Wesley and Cody are both in ski school. There is an instant bond between both boys. In addition, their parents are instantly attracted to each other. Could this be something?
However, things change when Paul realizes the familial connection. He stops all contact with Maddy and Wesley and tries to go back to where he and Cody were before they met.
But, someone close to Paul makes him realize how healing this is for both families. Could this brotherly bond heal hearts and minds?

The premiere of A Season For Family is on Wednesday, November 22, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
