'My 600-lb Life': How Are S8 Carlton & Shantel Oglesby Today?

My 600-lb Life Season 8 featured the story of siblings Carlton and Shantel Oglesby. They appeared in the show at 786 lbs and 638 lbs respectively. They had already been overweight since childhood. The siblings have also reached the point where they’re no longer able to move. Due to this, they sought Dr. Now’s help in the hopes of turning their lives around. They even relocated from Columbus, Ohio, to Houston, Texas. Fortunately, the duo was able to accomplish their programs. Keep reading to see their incredible transformation.

My 600-lb Life: Carlton & Shantel’s Impressive Weight Loss Journey

Dr. Now put Carlton and Shantel on a strict diet and exercise program in the first few months of their journey. The My 600-lb Life alums quickly lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. In just six months, Carlton was able to shed 242 pounds, which brought him to 544 lbs. Meanwhile, Shantel dropped 214 lbs, bringing her weight down to 424 lbs.

Shantel has a Facebook and YouTube account where she shares her weight loss journey. She has yet to share her current weight. But she made it clear that she’s still pursuing her physical goals and is also trying to work on her spirituality. On the other hand, Carlton has yet to share a new photo of himself. However it seems he’s still following his programs like his sister.

Carlton Is Now Living Happily With Fiance

Aside from losing weight, Carlton also became successful in his love life. In July 2022, the My 600-lb Life alum uploaded a photo of his hand holding his significant other’s hand with the words, “She said yes.” Oglesby has yet to share the date for their nuptials. Not much is known about his career as well. Nevertheless, it’s clear that he and his sister are some of the most successful siblings on the show.

My 600-lb Life: Shantel Oglesby Has Been Thriving In Business

Shantel focused on her business after parting ways with Dr. Now. She presently sells beauty products, accessories, and even self-defense items. The My 600-lb Life alum also revealed that she had already shipped 5.6k orders. But despite the success of her store, she never forgets to pursue her physical goals. She remains discreet about her current weight.

But many of her recent photos show that she has maintained a healthy lifestyle. Shantel Oglesby has been living happily with her husband as well. They’re about to celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary in November. Dr. Now’s patient has also been thankful for her brother. In August 2020, she shared a lengthy message thanking Carlton for working with her during their time on the show.
