Married at First Sight Season 17 premiered on October 18 on Lifetime and Pastor Cal Roberson opened up about filming in Denver, Colorado. MAFS fans can expect an exciting season with plenty of “twists” and more.

MAFS Pastor Cal Explains The Demographics Of Denver

Season 16 of the popular dating show was filmed in Nashville, Tennesse. Actually, it’s interesting to learn how different filming was in Denver, Colorado. The Nashville people were drawn from the usual pool of male-to-female ratios. Lifetime fans saw that Airris and Jasmine divorced, and so did Clint and Gina. Meanwhile, Mackinley and Domynique also split. Clearly, the odds of marriage working out seem small.

In Married at First Sight, Denver, the first thing that seemed noticeable, is that Pastor Cal revealed to the Denver Post, that “The pool of applicants in Denver was smaller compared to other cities…in part just because the population is smaller.” Of course, there are other differences between the two cities. Denver has a rep for being “diverse,” but Cal felt a bit unhappy because of the lack of diversity on racial lines by their applicants.

Twists And Turns In Married At First Sight, Season 17

Interestingly, it seems that male applications were fewer than female in the new MAFS season. However, Pastor Cal said Lifetime fans can still expect to see “a wealth of cultural diversity.” One important thing for thing sociologist Pepper Schwartz and psychotherapist Pia Holec arose. They discovered that people in Denver really need to “love the outdoors” to make a successful match.

If you hope for an exciting Season 17 of Married at First Sight, then the Pastor promises you will find it. Sounding excited, he told the outlet:

This is going to be one of the most twisted, turning, exciting, everything you can think of. There’s drama, there’s comedy, there’s horror, there’s mystery – every genre of theatrics you can think of will be in this season.”

The Cast Of 5 Couples

It’s not a terribly diverse cast in Season 17 of Married At First Sight. The five couples chosen were Austin and Rebecca, Brennan and Emily, Michael and Chloe, Orion and Lauren, and Cameron and Claire. However, Michael was left standing at the altar, and his friends had to console him. However, she didn’t leave ahead of speaking with him. Word is that she felt pressured by her family who were against her marrying a stranger. Meanwhile, Orion stood out as an individual and it will be interesting to see where that goes.

Austin and Rebecca might run into problems, as his family seems to not be on board with the marriage experiment. Then, Clare and Cameron already seem so insipid that Lifetime fans can barely recall them.
