Al Roker Shares Exciting New Gig, Is He Leaving ‘Today’ Show?
Al Roker is sharing an exciting new gig with fans! Does this mean he might be leaving Today though? The beloved weatherman has been a longtime staple of the show, and fans would be sad to see him go. Al Roker has a lot on his plate.
If you follow the Today host on social media, you may know that he keeps very busy. From spending time with his kids and granddaughter to taking on exciting new projects, he sure has a packed schedule. Despite this, he keeps happily taking on new gigs and exploring new ventures.
As we have previously reported, Al is occasionally out of his typical role and replaced by some of his co-hosts. Sometimes, it’s for other jobs, while other times he’s enjoying traveling or spending time with his family.
Al Roker announces an exciting new project.
On his Instagram page this week, Al shared a big update with his followers. In his post, he wrote, “Excited to finally share that Al Roker Entertainment has partnered with ‘Grief Is Love: Living with Loss,’ best-selling author Marisa Renee Lee, to bring the book to screen!”
About Marisa’s book, Al said:
“Marisa Renee Lee’s ‘Grief Is Love’ is a profound exploration of the human spirit, love, and resilience during our most difficult times.”

Is he leaving Today for this new gig?
Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like this is a full-time gig for Al Roker. So, he should be able to continue his role on Today. Because he’s been a part of the show for so long, fans will likely know well in advance before he leaves for another project or to retire. He probably would have mentioned leaving the show in his post if that was the case.
