Why is My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Way Thore being compared to a buffoon? She has done a lot of interesting things throughout the seasons. MBFFL Why Is Whitney Way Thore Compared To Buffoon?
This season on My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney Way Thore has said goodbye to her mother, Babs. With that has come an even more controlling side. She is dictating what her father, Glenn can and cannot do more so she has been throwing things away left and right. It is as if she is forcing her father to move on from his marriage and the life that he once had. Now, along with her brother Hunter, they have traveled to Alabama to meet Glenn’s long-lost daughter, Angie, and her family. On the way there, Whitney has been called out for being rude toward the state.
Now, she is being compared to a buffoon but why? A Reddit thread has been started to discuss what is going on with her. The biggest issue fans are having is her change of accent with the OP asking: “Does Whitney sound different this season? Her whole accent, tone, and pattern of speech sound different to me. Anyone else?” Immediately, one Redditor had this to say: “she’s taking on her “alabammer” relatives persona, thinking it’s gonna make her “kewl”, keep her relavant….OMG she’s such a buffoon…..” So, what exactly is a buffoon?
According to Merriam-Webster, a buffoon is defined as: “a ludicrous figure, CLOWN; a gross and usually ill-educated or stupid person.” So, did others agree? Some felt that Whitney was mimicking those that she was around while someone else felt like she was morphing into Babs initially. Then, as they watched more of the season and started to see Whitney’s new family, they felt she was trying to be like them. They admitted that it was “weird.”
A Hard Season
It’s interesting to get such feedback considering many fans have said that this season is hard to watch. They have expressed their disdain over My Big Fat Fabulous Life and Whitney Way Thore on Twitter.

I think it’s time for Glenn to “dad-up” and remind Whit of what her roll is; daughter. She’s hit new levels of embarrassment & disrespect. I watch but it’s SO hard to get thru the episodes. I hope the new daughter brings joy to his life and the deserved respect. #MyBigFatFabLife

Whitney is extremely insecure; that is why she tries to embarras herself and others. Along with
being crude and outlandish to get attention. She tries desparately to get attention any way she can; i.e., her dress, language, laugh, etc. Hope she gets help for her Father’s sake.
I am so aggravated with Whitney. Her father can make his own decisions & do what he wants. She needs to back off & it seems that the green eyed monster has got her.That dance off thing she had with her niece was ridiculous. She is also making fun of her new relatives & where they live. Not cool. Glenn needs to intervene & tell her to cut it out. Just my opinion but she’s making herself look bad.
