Sad news for On Patrol: Live fans as the Nye County Sheriff’s Office out of Pahrump, NV is officially parting ways with the TV series. The sheriff’s office took to its official Facebook page to break the news to the page’s 32,000 followers. On Patrol: Live later reshared Nye County’s statement on the official Facebook page for the show.

On Patrol: Live & Nye County Part Ways: See Statement

As fans of On Patrol: Live know, the Nye County Sheriff’s Office has filmed with the TV series since it first premiered last year. On Reddit, fans agreed they could always look forward to “something weird” when Dan Abrams said, “Let’s now go to Nye County.” So, fans were especially gutted to learn that the Nye County Sheriff’s Office would not be filming with the show anymore. Fortunately, Nye County did give fans a glimmer of hope at the very end of the statement. Turns out, Nye County hopes to return to the show in the future.

We are proud to have been riding with On Patrol: Live since the premiere in July 2022. It’s been a great 15 months and though we’re wrapping for now, we hope to be back again soon. Thank you #OPNation for your support of our Nye County deputies and thanks to everyone at the show!”

Fans of On: Patrol Live flooded the comments of Nye County’s statement and the reshare on the show’s official Facebook page as they reacted to the sad news. For the most part, fans on Facebook wished Nye County well. Moreover, they thanked the sheriff’s office for giving them a look at “desert living.”

Viewers Gutted By The Loss

On Reddit, fans of On Patrol: Live seemed far more gutted by this statement. One bummed fan penned: “Really sad about this! Every time Dan said, ‘Let’s now go to Nye County,’ you knew something weird or crazy was about to happen. Whether it was the guy in the spiritual shaw riding around in a minivan covered in swastikas getting kicked out of a restaurant, or if it was a crackhead living in a shack in the middle of the desert, you were in for a treat.”

As fans know, news recently broke that Weld County Sheriff’s Office out of Colorado will be joining the show. On Reddit, fans admit they hope Weld County will be able to deliver. Deliver the same level of enjoyment that Nye County offered.

  1. I would be very surprised if Weld County could provide the viewers the same as Nye County. There is no other like Nye. I will miss them.
