    1. I agree! I watch for the love of the show no matter who Elizabeth is with! People grow apart and move in different directions all the time!

  1. This showrunner has ruined this show for me. Season 10 was a bust. Only good thing as Rosemary and Lee’s baby.

I will not tune in to be insulted further by the destruction of characters I loved and a show that now makes no sense.

  2. I love the show and especially have enjoyed the last season. Elizabeth is showing herself to be a very deep thinker who is starting to realize that she may have acted too hastily in getting engaged to Lucas while she still had issues regarding Jack to get through. She did the right thing by ending it with Lucas when she became so unsure whether or not he was the one for her. Lucas was brave enough to accept it and said he realized things had changed. She will not be the first woman to end an engagement and she will not be the last.

  3. Sometimes engagements do end and you can usually see good reasons for two people parting ways. However Lucas has been the perfect gentleman, fiance and friend to everyone and this whole governor race and larger stage storyline was just made up this year to break them up. Elizabeth can’t give her whole heart to Lucas again because she has hung ups again about Jack. Wasn’t that addressed in S8? Why is she transferring Jack onto Nathan ? So LS broke them up, angered and hurt half the fans again and totally changed their characters. The real Elizabeth would never have hurt Lucas so coldly and not even seem too upset about it. There’s too many unanswered questions but the bottom line is this whole break up was handled horribly.
