‘Love Is Blind: The Reunion’: Will They Try To Go Live Again?
Last season’s Love Is Blind reunion show was an unmitigated disaster. Has Netflix learned from their mistake or will they go live again?
Season 5 of Love Is Blind has been anything but boring. Some relationships have blossomed while others have crashed and burned due to superficial hang-ups. Ahead of Friday’s season finale, two couples are still prepared to give marriage a go. Izzy and Stacy appeared to be full steam ahead, but Izzy’s poor credit may be too much for Stacy to handle. As for Lydia and Milton, will their emotional differences cause an unrepairable rift between the two?
Meanwhile, Taylor and JP seemed like a good match on paper. However, when JP first saw Taylor, their relationship was already over. Despite trying her best effort to carry their dying relationship, Taylor realized that something was wrong between her and JP. But when she confronted him over his aloofness, she got an answer that she simply was not expecting.
“You had a caked-up face, fake eyelashes. You presented fake stuff,” JP said to Taylor at the end of their trip. “A lot of makeup. I had makeup all over my jacket. Just don’t wear makeup.” Believe it or not, those romantic words failed to win over Taylor. The couple’s relationship officially ended when Taylor returned her ring and left JP behind in Mexico.
Will This Season’s Reunion Show Try To Go Live Again?
With just a single episode remaining in Season 5, there are still plenty of unresolved issues to be discussed. Chris and Johnie may not be engaged, but they are back together and attempting to work through their problems. With so many loose plot threads, the finale promises to be an entertaining one. But perhaps even more entertaining will be the Love Is Blind reunion special on Sunday. Love Is Blind Season 5: The Reunion will be available to stream on October 15 at 8 p.m. EST.
Netflix has yet to announce exactly which cast mates will take part in the reunion, but the streaming company did make one thing clear. Season 5’s reunion show WILL NOT try to go live. In the short teaser, Netflix pokes fun at last season’s missteps with the live reunion show. Although Sunday’s reunion special will be taped ahead of time, it has been billed as “unmissable.”
The Love Is Blind Live Reunion Show Disaster
On April 16, 2023, Netflix turned heads when they promised to deliver an unforgettable live reunion show featuring much of the Love Is Blind Season 4 cast. Unfortunately for a majority of viewers, technical difficulties made the show unwatchable. “We’re having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title,” was the only thing fans saw when they attempted to tune in.
To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We're filming it now and we'll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and…

To their credit, Netflix tried to do something outside the box. In this case though, venturing outside the box meant discovering a fiery inferno of glitches and technical difficulties. Eventually, Netflix finished taping the reunion special and made the episode available to view on April 17.
