Fans Call Whitney Way Thore ‘Classless’ Over Blatant Disrespect
This current season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life has been very emotional. The family lost Babs Thore and now they are trying to pick up the pieces. One thing that Whitney Way Thore encouraged her father, Glenn Thore to do was create a bucket list of things he wanted to do now that he was alone. She also wanted him to finally connect with his long-lost daughter, Angie. Angie had been conceived in 1968 but put up for adoption by her mother, Jackie after she was sent away to a home while she was a pregnant teen.
At the same time, fans have found Whitney commanding and dominating over the family, especially her father. Yet, Glenn did connect with Angie and now, he, Whitney, and Hunter are on their way to Alabama to meet the whole new family. However, fans have taken exception to the way Whitney Way Thore has been behaving upon entering Alabama. A Reddit thread was started, with the OP writing: “Whitney stereotyping people from Alabamer. Is anyone else annoyed at how she is stereotyping her alabama family? She is so rude! I wonder if they are watching this and feeling very offended.”
It has become an issue as she is chronically disrespectful to her friends and now, her new family. Did anyone else notice this as a problem? One wrote: “She has no filter and zero class.” Another added: “Anyone who pees in hot tubs, etc., and wears a cow suit on national t.v. and mispronounces words like she does, is in no position to cast stones at ANYONE.”
Glenn Calling Her Out
One Redditor said they loved the way that Glenn called out Whitney Way Thore. They thought it was great that he asked her to speak properly and not embarrass him. This is his family that he has thought about for decades and now finally gets to meet them. Therefore, it means so much to him to make a good impression. As usual, she is the one making it all about herself. It will be interesting to see what exactly happens when they are all together and Angie sees what her new sibling is like.

She is rude and very all about herself. I’ve quit watching the shore because I find her obnoxious and very classless about everything. I’m not sure why she thinks everyone should be all into her. This gal needs to take a long look at herself. Maybe then she will figure out why she’s not married. Really, who would want to marry her?
Agreed on all counts. The loud competition and smack to her new family members was over the top on last night’s episode. It was embarrassing to watch. And she treats her dog better than she treats Lenny. Other than money from the show I don’t know why he sticks around. He’s sober and turned his life around. He deserves better treatment and has been humiliated enough.
Totally agree with comments. While I feel like she suffers from very low self-esteem in a lot of ways and therefore acts loud, embarrassing and as the center of attention as a coping mechanism, she’s just gotten intolerable. I just can’t handle her loud mouth and self centered ways in order to finish the season. Bless her family and friends for their tolerance and patience.
whitney tries to control everyone even tho thethey’adults. be quiet, walk this way….everyone do this. I cant watch.
Whitney Thores’ behavior this season has been appalling. A preview on an upcoming episode is Whitney’s comeuppance. Dad Glenn announces he’s going to Alabama by himself to spend time with his daughter Angie. The preview shows Whitney crying that her father is leaving her. I can only hope Glen reminds Whitney she is a 39 year old woman and move on with ‘her life’. I look forward to Glen hopping in his car and driving off, leaving Whitney crying herself to sleep all alone at night.
Since her mother passed, Whitney has micromanaged her dad every waking minute of the day. Run Glen Run.
I used to watch this I loved babs who seem to keep Whitney in line but the funeral was about Whitney and to clean the house out when her father was not there was sickening and now making fun of the new family I wish you would cancel the show
I totally agree. She is self centered and thinks only of herself. Very rude and treats her friends awful. I’m glad Glenn is going to spend time with his new found daughter.
WELL, FINALLY HER FATHER IS PUSHING BACK ON HER OVER THE TOP BEHAVIOR. CALLING HER DEAD MOTHER “MOMMY” IS A STRETCH. SHE IS SO JEALOUS THAT GLENN HAS REUNITED WITH HIS OLDER DAUGHTER AND FAMILY. WHAT A WONDERFUL GROUP. WITLESS MOCKED THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE FROM THE DEEP SOUTH…WHY IS SHE BETTER ??? THAT BANANA MAYO SANDWICH WAS A CROCK, AND I THINK GOING ON ABOUT BABS IS GETTING OLD. I THINK GLENN HAS FINALLY HAD A DREAM COME TRUE BY FINDING HIS DAUGHTER. LAST NIGHT IT WAS REVEALED THAT HIS SISTER HELD ANGIE AFTER SHE WAS BORN. I FEEL MEETING AND FINDING HER WAS NO ACCIDENT AND HE HAD THE DECENCY TO WAIT UNTIL BABS PASSED. totally agree! Micromanaging at it’s raging worst! My Dad, brother & I went thru a very similar situation 15 years ago and NEVER would have I dared to treat my Dad that way! We got his bucket list almost completed before he passed without the controlling BS. No WONDER Glenn is outta there~
As I posted before, she is has extremely low self-esteem and is very rude. The “Alabamer” is rude after a ton of it. I have been there as a child and heard anyone call it that and have worked with people from there. Hate to say it but believe that she does not try harder to lose weight as then the show would be a flop. The fact that is flaunts her size and crude language is tasteless. I only have watched because because I like her parents. She thrive off of “shock value” to all she does. It is really gross that she always wears sleeve less tops and 2-piece bathing suits. I can only imagine what her new family thinks of her!

I watched last night, first time this season and will not watch again. She has turned into a controlling loud obnoxious person with no respect to her father or family and friends. TLC pull this show!!

watched many seasons of the show and agree with all previous comments. TLC should end the show, Glenn should come on down here to Alabama and finish what time he has with his real family who know what’s important. Side note, has no one in this family wondered why Babs went so quickly? I cringed when her and Glenn went and got their bio-weapon…i mean vaccine.

Babs must have been the magic in keeping Whitney in her proper place on being as proper as she could be! Wow! She makes fun of everyone and everything that is NOT appropriate! That new niece of hers is one classy girl! She goes high when Whitney continuously goes beyond low! Time to ask your self every second of every day:: What Would Babs Do? . . .WWBD?
