Unexpected Shocking Reason No Release Date Revealed?
Fans have been waiting for months for the new season of Unexpected to air. They know the cast and more so, they know what to expect from the show. So, what is the holdup? Jenna Ronan and Lilly Bennett are returning along with two new faces. At the same time, Jenna is expecting her second child with her new boyfriend while Lilly finally tied the knot. So, here is a lot to look forward to in Season 6. Yet, it feels like fans will experience more through social media than the actual show.
A Reddit thread was started to discuss what is taking the show so long to finally come out. The OP started by asking this: “Are they seriously waiting for Jenna to give birth to wrap up filming/release the season?” They added: “I REALLY hope the only two new girls we’re getting are worth the wait, because we all know Jenna and Lilly won’t be.” So, what did other Redditors have to say and were they hopeful the new season of Unexpected would come sooner rather than later? One shared that the reason it had been delayed was due to the strike. This would make sense as many shows could not film because of the WGA strike.
One celeb dancer from DWTS initially dropped out but then came back on as the strike ended. Others were really hopeful production was not waiting on Jenna to have her baby. “I hope that we aren’t waiting for her to have the baby. The other babies for this season will be toddlers at the tell all. It has been so long since the previous season aired.”
Bad Casting?
Not everyone is thrilled with the casting for Season 6 of Unexpected. Emersyn Potter was ready and willing to return but she was not asked back. Then, Tiarra Boisseau shared she and her family chose not to come back but then her sister, Tyra announced she was pregnant. Finally, some Redditors said the show has not been the same since the Haileys left a few seasons back. Essentially, they are really hoping that this wait will be worth it because it has been over a year.
